I have owned three of these cameras and they work very well. Both front and rear cameras have good quality video. I use the GPS base for added information such as speed and GPS data. I did have a base fail after about 6 months of use. After working with Kelly at Vantru tech support we had the problem resolved quickly.

Do not purchase! Cheaply made and super cheap feeling... for $200 it should come with everything needed to operate.

I really wish it had a bigger screen. It replaced one that had a screen of a couple inches. I can't see this one at all.

Product works great. Picture is clear and I've had no issues. Customer service is also very good and easy to deal with. They replaced the suction cup mount that I accidentally damaged without question.

Could not get several different SD cards to work, so I’m sending it back and have requested a refund.

I really like this product--VanTrue N2 Pro. It is a great resource to use as an Uber and Lyft Driver. It is easy to put together on your windshield and it holds firmly without worry. The only concern that I would note is that you have to search for and find the correct MicroSD card to use and then follow specific instructions on how to format it on a computer before formatting it again on the dash cam. However, once this is all done, the camera works great! I would still highly recommend this product to anyone considering the use of a dash cam.

Great product for an Uber driver.

I got the Venture N2 Pro a few weeks ago and so far I'm extremely happy with it. Easy to use, easy to install and the best of it, perfect image day or night.

Camera is easily mountable and records very clean footage. Once set up and plugged in, I have never needed to worry about it!

Step one in the Quick Start Guide says to charge the unit for 2hrs before using. I noticed that there is nothing indicating that the device is actually charging, so I just shut it off and timed it for 2hrs. Come to find out when the power button is red, its charging and shuts off when fully charged. What I don't like about this device is that you must connect it to a computer in order to delete videos that you don't need. Also parking mode is for the front cam only which is kind of retarded. Other than that, I don't have any other complaints, I'm satisfied with my purchase!*Keep in mind that I'm reviewing this the day after setting it up. Hopefully everything goes well over time!

Broke after two months. Waste of money

UPDATE: Downgraded from 5 stars. The camera works wonderfully, its a shame that it will not remain mounted to the window for more than a few hours, before it falls off. Every morning I need to remount to the windshield, and every day after work it has lost suction and is dangling from the power cord. Debating on buying the mirror mount option, but then lose the GPS capability. Had camera since March 2019 with no issues, never touched the mount, then 3 days ago, it will not stay on the windshield.I did a lot of research trying to get the best dashcam for the money. I was between the Vantrue N2 and the Rexing V2. Decided to try the Vantrue based on the mounting scheme (more flexibility to pivot and get the desired view). I made the right decision. Easy to install, easy to move, easy to see the files. Rented a car for a work function and took the camera with! Will be purchasing a second one to install in the wife's car.

Extremely impressed with the quality of the front and back cameras of this dash cam, day and night. Sound quality is superb as well. Bought the additional GPS mount to collect speed and location data. This dash cam is everything I was looking for.

This dashcam holds no charge at all, it needs to be plugged into a power source or it shuts off. My car was hit while parked and the camera didn't capture the incident as the product claims it would. Good picture quality aside from black showing up as purple and 2.5 out of 5 for the night vision. Must be a lot of fake reviews here. Avoid this product.

I was driven by amount of great reviews, once received I can understand why. Great size and easy install. The picture is clear and the night vision is nice quality. Security is important to me, I wanted the in cab camera I am a Real Estate agent and in todays world just having the camera is a deterrent for anyone that may have questionable intentions.
Hugo Alexandre F Antunes
If you drive at night this is the dashcam to go. Sometimes during the day the black colors will be kinda purple but the night vision of this camera is what matters for those that drive at night.

I thought it was a dual channel camera. My mistake. You can record either front or back, but not both at the same time. Of, if you can, the instructions don't tell you how to do it.But the big deficit is the mount. It will not stay attached to the windshield and, worse, the ball joint loosened up and cannot be tightened adequately to hold the camera steady. The unit swings around while the car is in motion, pretty much zeroing any usefulness for the recorded images.Serious disappointment.
jonna
After less than one year of usage as a dash cam it stopped working. Vantrue doesn't give me the possibility to return or replace it according to the 1 year of eligible electronics warranty. Lame!
rashad
I initially gave this camera 5 stars. However, after a year and 2 months the camera broke down. Now it won’t stop turning on and off by itself. I didn’t think it would die this soon.

Works great. Im happy with my purchase.

As a Rideshare, I am concerned about driver I am concerned about safety for my riders & me. The camera works perfectly and the quality is top notch. I'd buy it again.

I like the operation, the large memerory. I would prefer a larger screen .

I really like this product, it works well, and the picture quality is very good. However I also spent the extra money for the GPS adapter. The correct location is displayed with a latitude and longitude on the bottom of the video. GPS works using very accurate clocks. So why is the clock on my dash cam always wrong?
Sahand
Its easy to install , Great Quality , Great video , easy to switch of the screen so it won't be noticeable for Riders to know that they are been recorded ,basicly you can avoid repeated questions about why you are using this while Ubering ....

This thing gets pretty good reviews so I'm guessing I just got a bad product. This review is based solely on my experience. First, you have to jump through a lot of red tape to update firmware when you 1st get it, provided you want to use a 256gb sd card. You have to buy a whole separate sd card of at least 8gb in order to format the 256gb sd card. Thing is, nowhere do they tell you that you have to buy an 8gb sd card. I bought a 512mb cuz it was just going to be used to format. Now I am at 3 sd cards. And no, you can't format the 256gb sd card directly from the camera. My Mac computer wouldn't recognize the camera. Maybe Mac isn't compatible with camera. So, after jumping through those hoops, which are annoying and expensive, but not deal breakers. I couldn't get the update to run on the camera. Hell, I couldn't get the camera to stay on. It kept shutting down. Yes, it was charged up. I reached out to support. They are very nice....but nice doesn't fix anything. They only respond once per 24hr period, so if you have any follow up questions, give it 24hrs for a reply. This went on for 3 days. Finally, I just said to hell with it and returned the camera, gps adapter and the hardwire kit. If your product won't even stay on, you'd expect the first thing that would be done was to send out a new camera. Too bad, cuz the reviews say this should be a great camera. I'll never know.

Really like this camera. Has good picture and good sound quality. 1080p does not capture license plates perfect but you can make them out on playback. I’m sure it would be easier on the highest setting but you cannot record internally and externally on the highest setting. Night vision is also pretty good though obviously the quality of the picture goes down some but still very clear. My only Con would be that it does not automatically download on WiFi when at your home destination but I believe you can get that on newer models.Really an excellent product for the price in my opinion.
Lizette Nieto
We were involved in a hit and run accident and we were depending on the cam to capture the car’s license plate and it failed us. The quality of the video was terrible. I purchased this product 12/13/18 and not even 4 months later it has stopped working, not even turning on. It’s such a disappointment! And impossible to reach anyone for support.Edit: The camera gave out in less one year. I want to say it lasted about 9 month. The battery only lasted about 3 month. After that it had to be plugged in at all times for it to be able to work. I bought a 200GB micro SD card for it to fry it, it no longer work on any device. It was difficult to find a number for customer service to try to resolve my issues with the camera. At the time of purchase the camera had good revies but now that i go back to them they look pretty generic and fake Buyer BEWARE THIS CAMERA IS GARBAGE AND YOU CAN BUY SOMETHING BETTER FOR LESS MONEY.

I think the night vision could be improved a bit but it’s not bad. The quality is decent enough to see license plates, if they’re close enough. I would recommend you use a 128gb+ SD card otherwise you’ll be having to format constantly. I use it for Lyft/Uber and its a perfect safety feature to have. The buttons took a bit of a learning curve but that’s to be expected with few buttons.

I decided to purchase the Vantrue view because of it's night vision capabilities. I am a share ride driver and wanted to get a dash cam that records videos both day and night. I also wanted to protect myself in the event of any incident with my passengers. I was very impressed by the quality of video, which is great. I can clearly read license plate numbers in the daytime or night. Recording in the cabin is awesome, I can see myself as well as my passengers vividly. Some complaint about the high price sticker but this is only of the more affordable dash cam that order night vision that enhance in cabin video. This product is perfect for share ride drivers as well as anyone who is concern about their safety. I hope they come with a body cam soon.
Great Neko
I bought this dashcam for my car as I drive uber for living, the only bad thing is the memory card, the cam can only support up to 64gb. I have to format the memory card for every 5 hours of recording. Otherwise, the overall performance is great!

Great camera, caught the deer running into the car, hubby didn’t realize it was recording.

Hands down the best dashcam on the market right now. I recently started driving with Lyft and decided to protect myself and get a dashcam. So far so good in terms of operation. The screen is small but the text is legible and the camera quality in both directions is the best I've ever seen. The night vision alone is worth the cost for the camera. The camera is very light in terms of weight. Mounting it is fairly easy though I'd highly recommend getting the GPS mount for extra features. You do have to keep it plugged in the entire time for operation though from what I've seen there is an optional hardwire kit for the camera. The Samsung evo micro sd card is what I'm using though depending on your driving habits you may want to go larger in terms of storage. Formatting can be done right on the camera; mines came with the latest firmware installed so no need to download off the website.Overall I highly recommend this camera for anybody that does any type of rideshare service. In this crazy world you need all the protection you can get and this dashcam will help you in the long run.

Vantrue dual dash cam requires some additional components to fit in seamlessly. Worth it if you work for Uber/Lyft. Adds a sense of security and valuable data in case of accident or catastrophic rider incidents.

I've yet to see how it withstands extreme temps inside the vehicle during summers

I love this little camera. The only thing I wish it did was connect to an app on my phone. Other than that this camera is amazing and I feel safer knowing that I have a recording if needed while driving my taxi.

I was looking for a camera with front and inside view cameras built in one body to avoid the hassle of setting up two different cameras separately. I also wanted the inside camera with infrared feature so that it is able to function during night time. After searching for a long time, I found Vantrue N2 Pro which met my requirements.I have used it for about a week now with 256 GB micro SD card. I am loving the camera so far. The front and inside video quality is great during day time and night time. The sound quality is also very good.

Love the camera when we got it. Then a small accident at a stop sign intersection and NO film/recording. Tried everything, even emailing the seller/manufacturer (btw there is NEVER a human or customer service, you MUST only email and “hope” they get back to you. ) They did respond, but with a generic statement, no help whatsoever. Do not waste your time or money on something they won’t back up. I could have proved the lady ran the stop sign, but now both our insurance says we are equally at fault because they is no proof. That’s EXACTLY what I bought this for. Note: they have this arbitrary dead 30 seconds during continuous recording g, my accident happened in the 30 seconds, how ironic. I have before and after but not the accident because that’s when the camera decided to “rest”. You have to get lucky. $200 wasted.

I cant speak of the performance since i cant even get it up and going but the initial set up is awful, doesn't come with a micro sd card and when you get one you have to format it on a pc to fat32 which i can not do. then it says keep your firmware up to date but guess what, hope you know how because there are no instructions in the manual or website to do that. i would look elsewhere for a dash cam.
linville
Great camera that is small enough to not be in the way. Great resolution during the day but could be a little better at night. Definitely not a deal breaker. The inside camera is awesome although I turned it off because I sing a lot in the car and I never have passengers. If there is one thing I wish it would do, it would be the capability of2X zoom for the interior camera to bypass passenger view and be more of a rear window camera. I love it.
guillermo
Had product for less than 7 months. Won't take power anymore from hardwire kit/gps plug-in mount. Fails to function or power on. Seems the problem may be the power kit from Vanture that failed instead of the camera, will revise later once fixed. Also the audio mic has terrible pickup.
Robert
Takes good video, but did not get a good video of a license plate I needed from a motorcycle rider that decided to try and damage my vehicle. This is a must for anyone that does Rideshare. The only complaint is I wish that it recorded better quality video. Will see how it handles the brutal Texas heat, but given the price, I don't think I'll leave the camera in a sitting car, although it defeats the purpose of having a motion detection option for the video.

It's really nice having both a front and rear facing camera in such a small package. The picture quality is pretty good during all lighting conditions on the front facing camera, but the rear facing camera's color is washed out even during the day time almost like it is in night mode all the time (iv'e included some snapshots of both cameras in daytime and night time.) I like how the IR lights on the camera are not visible like some IR lights in other products that are faintly visible to the human eye. I don't notice anything with this product. The Menu on the camera is hard to navigate, not the same menu that is explained in the booklet and not intuitive at all. The menu navigation buttons are a pain to play around with and to this day i always mess up when trying to change a setting. They are also mounted on the bottom of the device and not below the screen...The release clip for the mount is in a tricky spot on, it is facing toward the glass but the camera pulls off toward the driver so you have to both push on the clip from the back side and pull the camera toward you to dismount it, causing me to move the camera from its perfect positioning i had set up having to reposition it when i re install it every time.Removing the flap to get to the Micro SD card is tough with large fingers, even with fingernails, i have to use a screwdriver every time to get the flap open, but being able to use up to 256GB (I have a 256 SAMSUNG) installed in it is great, I can go a few weeks without it getting full. Recording and storing 2 instances of 1080 video can take up a lot of space but you can set it to only record with one camera if you like. The battery life is completely awful, It will last maybe 10 minutes.I bought the GPS mount and the Fuse power adapter for the product and would recommend both of them as well. The GPS attachment is a little larger and the power cord comes out of the mount on the top not the side like the original mount forcing you to mount the device 2-3 inches lower than the original mount to make space for the cord and the larger component. There was little set up with the GPS mount, i just plugged it in and navigated the painful menu to activate GPS in the menu and it worked. You can also download a free Lite program for your PC to watch the video and track the GPS movement during the video from the Vantrue website, but the program is buggy and crashes on me quite often. The Fuse adapter power cord is nice also, it was (just) long enough for me to tap a fuse that comes on with the ignition then rout it through the carpet and dash, up the A beam around the top of the window and into the mount. The camera turns on and starts recording when i start the vehicle.I would recommend the product, but i would also recommend to Vantrue that they work on the menu, buttons, ease of use, and manual for the device. I still have no clue what the G sensor is for and what the park setting is or how to activate it or the details of what it does when active. Not sure i would trust the battery life with the park setting anyway.

I bought two of the units after extensive research and installed them in my two vehicles over one year ago. The mp4 files looked great and I like the resolution/audio recording/dual cameras. However, that changed recently. I had a minor fender bender accident the other day where a car bumped into me while I was stopping at a red light. The rear bumper had a few dents and scratches, nothing major. When I got home and searched for the recordings, to my surprise, they were not there in either normal or event folder. It continued to save what happened 30 seconds before the accident and 90 seconds after it, so there was about 3 minutes of gap which covered the accident. The file names have a sequence number and they increment fine without skipping any. So unless you are looking for that 3 minutes of recording, you wouldn't notice anything missing. I set G-sensor to medium. It saved 3 files into my event folder after the accident and contained a bunch of files from previous days, which seemed to work ok.I bought these 2 units, which are not cheap comparing to others, for accidents like this. Luckily I don't need it this time; but, what about the next time I really need it and it's not there? Please be warned this may happen to your unit too.

The Camera works flawlessly. Also purchased the hardwire kit to keep install clean. Installation war easy for my wifes 2017 forester. Initially the hard wire set had an Issue of draining the battery but when I contacted support@vantrue.net, they immediately shipped me replacement from china. I further complained that the shipping is taking too much time they immediately sent me one from US. Now it is working as expected and very satisfied with not only product but the service level they provided me. Very trustable company!
chischas10
Don't count on being able to see the license plate on car in front of the cam, unless you are practically touching the bumper, right behind the vehicle. Its a decent camera. The picture quality is fine, BUT BUT as far as in the dual-mode where recording from the front of unit and inside the cabin, you will not likely be able read the license plate on the vehicles that are in front of the camera, and i find that extremely disturbing!

This camera is everything you would ever need or ask for!

Software needs lots of work... It should loop once your card is full. Once your card is full it doesn't loop and just turn off the camera. And you can't delete the old recoding directly from camera. you need to connect to laptop. Sooo ANNOYING

Overall a solid quality product, but should be more fancy for the price point. I paid $200 at time of purchase. Would be great if it came with WiFi so I could view it from my cellphone and if the GPS mount wasn't extra $.Pros:- seems solidly built- records exterior and interior- has night vision for interior when dark, good visibility- picks up audio ( can be disabled if you like)- takes large memory cards- easy to mount- you can plug cord neatly into mount and hide wire, instead of into cam- can be hardwired into vehicle easily enough and has parking modeCons:- Should have WiFi so you could view/edit and save footage on your mobile devices and save on cloud. And be able to view remotely.- Dealing with plugging camera into your computer and going through diff file folders because of no WiFi- You have to pay extra for a mount that gives it GPS (my original was kinda loose so their sending me a free GPS which is cool of them)- Wish they had easier access to customer service like a national 800 number and how to videos on wiring so I didn’t have to figure it all out myself.- Thing shut down on me for a few days once, but was fine after I brought it inside and let it chill for some days (maybe the cold weather)I drive Uber / Lyft and needed a dashcam for my own safety, as far as possible road incidents and with passengers.I bought this camera as well as its hardwire kit and have it wired in and “Parking Mode” enabled so it can still pick up and record motions when my vehicle is off. Not really sure how that works due to living on a pretty busy street with a lot of foot and vehicle traffic so lots of motion.

The quality of this product is good, yet the pricing is considerable.

I like everything about this Dashcam, especially being able to record the cabin area. Night vision provides everything I want from it. Day time recording is great! The device is small and very light weight. I purchased the recommended 256GB micro SD and it worked right out of the box. The controls are small and easy to use.If you have need for a Dashcam give this one strong consideration. I bought it to record road trips that I make. Sometimes I can't really enjoy the view due to concentrating on my driving. It is nice to sit down in the evening and review the days trips. I am pretty sure that if you make the purchase there will be NO BUYER'S REMORSE!If you are in the market for a duel camera, dashcam, this is the one!

I received my dashcam and use it in my work and personal car so I did have to purchase an extra cable and window mount. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had to use any of the video footage. I'm not too sure of the motion detection portion yet but I did purchase the cable that has that option. The picture quality is great but the rear facing camera at night is not really clear. It is really dark watching the feedback. All in all, a nice product, which even videos you as your doing your car karaoke....lol

I drive for a living and I like having the dash cam for security. On the off chance that an accident occurs (caused by something outside or inside the vehicle such as passengers) the dash cam provides a video log of exactly what transpired. I also like how small and unobtrusive it is and it is actually far lighter than I expected it to be.

Picture quality is excellent, I’m shooting a documentary and the picture & audio has been broadcast quality. Worth every dollar.....

Amazing dashcam! Been running this with a samsung evo 128GB sd card for months flawlessly. Great quality at night (inside and out).UPDATE: 2 years in and it seems the internal battery has gave out and no longer stores/saves the date or time which seem to effect auto loop (overwriting old with new videos). To replace the battery you need to completely take it apart and solder a new battery in. Be nice if they made the battery more accessible with a plug instead of soldering for easy replacement.UPDATE 2021: Just purchased second one after first battery died due to extreme Houston heat for 2 years. New one running great just make sure to check the manual for interior night vision mode toggle (power button quick press).

For the price that I paid compared to other cameras I would feel like the camera quality should be a little better. It is what is is I suppose.

**Updated** VanTrue sent me a replacement, and the replacement does not have the issue the original had, so I've updated my review. It really is a fantastic camera, but... just be careful - IF YOU NOTICE THE TIMESTAMP RESETTING, YOUR CAMERA IS DEFECTIVE - GET IT REPLACED!**Original review below**The camera shows it is recording, but the date keeps resetting to 01/01/2018. Didn't care much because the dateline doesn't bother me. After an accident, went to pull the files to prove the other party was at fault, and the camera hadn't saved a video file since last fall (5 months ago). Reformatted the card, tried a new card, updated firmware - still the same problem. The camera is definitely defective. Easy to test if you have this problem. Leave the camera unplugged for 3-4 days if you can. If the date/time stamp resets, you have a dud, get it replaced!!

A great dashcam! Exactly what I am looking for.
David J Pellegrino
It is compact and so easy to set up.The camera looks and feels like it's a quality item. The specs on the camera are very good.I had no issues in setting up the dashcam. Routing the power cable was a breeze and plenty long enough for me to run it to the back seat 12v power outlet. There are plenty of options to set for your particular preferences. Another thing I really like is that Vantrue FB page posts helpful hints about different settings and how it affects the memory usage .The packaging was fine...not much to say about that. No difficulty with unpacking.
Sam Gass
There’s something with the light exposure that makes license plates look like white rectangles and you can’t read them. The suction mount is very bad and keeps dropping but I remedied that by velcroing the camera onto the plastic behind the rear view mirror. Other than that, great camera for price.
Jeremy
Very nice camera. Love the design/look of it. Easy to view video recordings off the device by just hooking a USB cable to it and my computer. No need for a memory card reader or removing the micro sd card. Video looks very good. Interior infrared lights make everything in the car visible at night.
Sandy
I purchased this camera based on reviews &recommendations. Am a Senior Citizen and admit I may not translate manual instructions as intended, but these are the worst! First off charge camera, led will be red while charging. NO! Format Sd card, if you have version 17 or higher of firmware you can do it with camera. NO! Camera shows V20, but if you try to format it gives you error and to try different version Sd Card! I bought the Sd Card recommended! This may be a great camera, but if you can't get a proper manual or if the instructions are " crap " and cant be translated into common English then it is no good! Based on my current experience I would not endorse purchasing this camera

I store the unit at night to prevent theft. Putting it back in socket is a bit difficult in the dark. Other than that dit this is a great unit!

Overall a good camera but two really annoying issues.1. Every once in a while as I'm driving the camera turns off and back on again and reboots itself. It does it for no reason.2. Random video files are corrupt and not usable. Most of the videos open but a handful will be corrupt. What if that corrupt file is the one I need? I tried to open the corrupt files with multiple media players and no luck.
Pete D.
There are a lot of sub $50 dashcams out there, but what you save in dollars you'll lose in quality, especially when you really need it (i.e. accident doumentation). This camera has one of the sharpest videos I've seen so far rivaling even my Sony HD camcorder. Fantastic color range and the ability to zoom in and read a license plate from about 10 car lengths away. Even night recordings are clear and stunning. I will not move my vehicle an inch without this product running.Be sure to add the optional GPS mount. For the slight additional cost it makes this device 10X more valuable when it comes to documentation. Though the free GPS software is pretty bare bone, it's nice having all your information in a single interface. Using the GPS mount and free software you get to view the stream, your speed and your location at the time of the recording displayed on a map in the corner of the playback interface. If you drive, you should have a dash cam. And if you're going to have a dash cam, invest in quality. And this dash cam delivers. I don't bother with the interior cam or the sound recording options, but I have tested them and they are both options that offer the same high quality as the main camera. I also invested in the power installation kit to free up my power port on my console. A bit of a bear to install, but it makes for a nice clean look. I appreciate the g-shock sensor technology, but let's pray I never need to incorporate it! I'm currently using a 128G Samsung EVO card for storage and at the highest quality resolution (front cam only), I can store just under 20 hours of recorded video. Just ordered a 256G EVO and hope to get 50 hrs before the oldest recordings get overwritten. If you're looking for quality, options and a device that will actually assist in the event if an accident, make the investment count. Hopefully I'll never need this evidence, but it's a good feeling that if I do, I have this product available to chronicle the event.Update 06/17/2019 - Been using every day since November '18 and it seems to just get better with age! Have had no issues at all. Quality is still excellent and really enjoy having this thing "ride along" with me every foot I've traveled since it was purchased. Getting hot here in the Phoenix area, but the optional GPS mount I bought makes it very easy to slide in and out, so when I know it will be sitting in the sun for a while I just slide it out of the mount and pop it in my center console. Seven months in and I still give it 5 starts. I've attached a short video from a nice sunny day. Note the GPS info banner embedded at the bottom of the sample.(Had to find a 60 second clip where I actually stayed close to the speed limit! No need to self-incriminate!)

I have gone through many dash cams trying to find the right one. I work at night so I needed something with a good night vision. This is the second model of a Vantrue I have owned and this one is way better than the previous model. If you are looking for top of the line and being able to record inside your vehicle you can't go wrong with this one.

HI,I have only been using this for one day. Let me share a few things. My reason for purchasing this is to have a video and audio record of my rideshare experience to protect me and as evidence in case something bad happens. Having footage of bad drivers is also interesting. In that aspect, this camera seems to work far superior to anything I have seen or read about. The packaging is very well thought out. Elegant but not excessive. I only mention this because the cam is well protected and since you are buying one of the best dual dash cams... Ultimately I could care less about how it looks and am more into function.... However, it certainly adds a bit of flair and pride in the product and adds to the experience and image of the product. VERY well done Vantrue. I like it a lot. The manual is well thought out, is in color, and provides information on all functions. The average user should have no problems figuring things out, however some of the text is small, reading glasses required. Mount: I do like the twist lock feature of the suction cup windshield mount and the way it connects to the cam. Much better than my other two dashcams. I love the way the power connects to the suction cup mount rather than the cam. My first cam had a widespread issue where the power adapter port would separate from the motherboard enough to make it stop working frequently until total failure. Not this one. The only thing I do not like about it so far: The connector is a mini usb port rather than a microUSB port. Only because I have already wired a microUSB port to my rear view mirror area. I have purchased a Micro to mini converter which makes it slightly more bulky, but I do not have to rewire a new cable into the car and it is behind the rear view mirror. The mount is very stable, there is absolutely NO rattling... the video is smoother and the recording sound quality is EXCELLENT!Picture Quality: I have reviewed some of the footage from the first day, recording inside and outside the car. It did rain most of the day but the images during the day inside were phenomenal, as were the ones out side. (using dual camera mode, which is all I use.) The night pictures illuminated inside the car very well and you could see in the back seat... unlike the others.. even with IR. The outside pictures were very clear even at night.I have attached a night pic from the inside, with me blocked out and a late day video, but it was very dreary out. The recording had the sound removed and the snip spliced out... so the original was a little better. I will try to add better later, but so far this camera does an excellent job. Why the N2 Pro? The reason I chose this one was due to the reviews and images shown of the INSIDE camera at night. I had a Nucam, but it did not last and the inside pictures were not even close to clear at night.Motion Detection: I would like to rate the motion detection. I assume they are talking about the G sensors that automatically lock images so they do not get deleted... such as if you are hit or have to slam on the brakes. There are 4 settings including off and three sensitivities. There is also a parking protection mode. Perhaps I can experiment and bring back my findings here. I can tell you it works, as some images were locked. I had it on medium. I may set it to lower sensitivity. If things change, I will come back and revise the rating. This camera is smaller than I had anticipated, which is great because it blocks my vision less. There are quite a few other features including a video port, which do not concern me and they are listed. Nice if you need them or want them.Legal: I do have signs all over stating that I have camera surveillance in the car. Check your laws.Support: Register your dashcam, it is easy. I had to ask where the serial number is. They answered within two hours of sending in an email... late night. So far so good. Excellent in fact. I have not been influenced in any way to provide a good or bad review. While the shape of the camera is a little odd, it appears as though vantrue has really put a lot of though into it's design... and it really shows from the second you have it in your hand... it actually looks quite good too.Lastly: a 32GB card in dual dash mode seems to last about 3 hours before overwriting. That being said, I just purchased a 128 GB card that should afford me most of a 12 hour day. Do get a good one.

Bought in November. Had a minor issue that wouldn't go away. Occasional screen freeze on power up. Daily email exchange (try this, report back, now try this). No go. Replaced, no questions asked! Sent new unit right out after seeing screen shot (proof) of bad unit going their way. Can't ask for anything better than that!

Dash cam arriced right on time, easy to setup, i used a 128GB SD card which caused me a little issue trying to format it to Fat 32, other than that it was a breeze to setup. Its actually smaller in size than i envisioned but happy as it fits right under the rearview mirror. I've used it for about a week now and traveling all over florida its been great, easy to take down when were out of the vehicle of we put the shade up, has great picture quality too. Buttons are a little small but once you get used to what they are its not a problem. Great Product. I would but it again too

Will anyone make a Dual Camera that can be charged. I hate the wires hanging down. Sale one with a battery life of a cell phone.
