we never though about having a dash cam in over 13 years of driving daily; until I was in a car accident. I wish I would have had this that day, I would have definitely have the evidence needed to prove the other person was in the complete wrong. This camera is just wonderful . It is easy to set up and the quality of it is just amazing. Night vision is perfect and I have captured so may drivers doing idiotic things! It's amazing what you can capture on this. Just buy the correct SD card and you are ready to go. Please do not hesitate to purchase this, you think you might never need it until you really do. Thank you so much!

I've had this dashcam for 2 years It does a great job recording video but the only issue I've had with it is the battery it work good for a couple of months then it wouldn't stay charge it's been like that for a 1 year & a half that's the only thing.

Setting up is extremely easy.Video quality is great. Tiny LCD is very useful. The cabin camera and audio recording work great.Very highly recommended. Don't mess with cheap one.

The quality and ease of use is pretty good on this camera. However, it would routinely fall from the windshield no matter how well it was stuck on with that suction cup provided. And after about 1 year, it stopped automatically turning on and recording when I turned the engine on. I even have it connected straight to the fuse box on a fuse that stays on even when the engine is off. This thing just turns off after about 8 hours and then when you start the engine you have to manually turn it on. For these reasons I would NEVER buy another Van True nor recommend it to anyone.

I'm lucky to have not needed anything in the past to had to retrieve any footage from this worthless camera pos. it literally resets everything, it never loops over your recordings after the disk is full, I check on it every week after I have to reset all the prior settings correct to do so, and every effing week it records bs from when I'm inside my car from several weeks ago just driving, omfg I just want to ram my fist at the makers of this device, zero quality no reliability. spend your money on a name brand, surveillence esp. for your car is nothing to not take serious.

Does not go with hot and cold weather. Plastic damages

This is great, picture is perfect and audio is clear. Records inside/outside or both.

Excellent camera, very useful. Bought 4 of them for all om my vehicles. It has an excellent video quality both in day and night mode. Highly recommend as it can be a savior when it comes to accidents or any other events.

Yes, my 3rd, because I love them. Gave my first one to my sister and my second one to my brother.Dashcam was very easy to setup with or without the user manual. The user manual is very detailed with good graphics to guide you through the setup. Mounting and cabling was also really easy, and there is more than enough cable. I love the dual dashcam set up with 1080p dual recording. Audio quality is awesome and night recording is good if not great. I recommend using a GPS mount to record your location and speed. No additional cabling is needed as it replaces the original mount that came with the unit. Removing the camera is very easy by pressing the tab in front and pushing the camera back. Original mount is very good as the camera remains very stable during driving.Sometimes the interior footage can be too bright or dim depending on the outside brightness.Overall, I am very happy with my new and 3rd Vantrue N2 Pro!

I bought this Vantrue N2 Pro dash cam since a lot of my friends and family are using it - and they all have nice things to say about Vantrue dash cams. The N2 Pro has a great video recording quality - 1080p HD - which takes care of reading license plates, even in the dark. The dual dash cam nature of this product is a plus, so I can have cabin area recording as well. The dash cam and the wires has a great build quality, unlike other brands who have cheap quality. The packaging is well thought of, and makes a great first impression.I am really happy with my purchase.

Very easy to install with everything you need to get it done right in the box. The setting up was simple with step by step instructions in the guide . The suction cup on the windshield is amazing holding power , considering I installed it on my Ram 1500 truck. Starts recording as soon as I start my truck .Never have to put it on when I start my truck ,it automatically comes on and goes off when I shut the engine off. The dual camera is amazing with the clarity and the amount of angle it records . I would recommend to this my family and friends .

I put this dashcam on my side mirrors. I have a 3 usb port adaptor and I bought separate mini usb cables to run other dashcams along with it.It captures very clear video front and back. Only downside about this camera is that you need to hardwire it to use the parking mode feature. I turned on parking mode and it does not activate the camera when motion is detected.

This is by far the best dash cam I've owned. I've always had problems with the other brands, but not this one !!You will spend a little money but you won't be getting a piece of junk

Very nice camera, compact and useful tol against irresponsible drivers.

Decent dash cam, but a bit expensive for the build quality and the screen is so small it’s pretty much useless. Should have just made the unit smaller with ability to use phone as screen

video and audio are great. nice at night too

The parking mode for this device does not work properly even when hardwired correctly.Daytime footage is not very useful for picking up things, especially if it's during the summer. Does not pick up license plates let alone some cars around you. I would only recommend this item if you live in a foggy area with little sun.

BATTERY ISSUES!! Wait for Vantrue new dash cam...

I have been using this camera for almost 2 years and very pleased with my purchase. Picture quality especially at night is very clear and sharp. Recently the charger stopped working so I called their customer service for help. Although the camera is no longer under warranty, their customer service was very nice and offered to send me a new charger for free. That makes me a very happy customer.

very good quality amazing price 100% recommended

I am giving it 3 stars because ideally you would want a capacitor instead of a lithium battery as the heat in the car can ruin the lifespan of the battery when not plugged in. Because I left it plugged in, and hanging off the windshield for most of the time, my camera on it's own can only last 10 seconds when not on a power source. To make changes to it's settings you have to have it detached from it's main power which only gives me a brief moment to make any necessary changes.

Works great, recommend to anyone who drives at car or truck. Awesome quality.

This is far better than my previous dash cam. It is very easy to use - plug-n-play, and has lots of great feature; I have no regrets. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. This camera is a dual facing camera with true IR night vision built in. You get a clear, quality picture of the inside of car in complete darkness. I would recommend this to anyone driving for Lyft/Uber or just to have for your day to day drives.

Picture quality is great. . Easy to install.

Amazing!! You can see everything!!

This dash cam would be great for people driving rideshare services like uber or lyft because it can record from both front and rear camera which means it will record what's going on in front of your car, but also what's going on inside your car.Of course you have to disclose this to your passenger first to make sure they agree. This features can be turned off otherwise, but can be a good evidence if your passenger is messing your car, throwing up, and just being rude to you, etc2.In my use case, I only use the front facing camera however since I don't do the rideshare, but I can imagine how useful it will be if I decide to start doing rideshare in the future. On to the camera itself, the camera has a solid build, with a drable looking casing. I've accidentally dropped this camera when trying to install it, but as you can see in the picture, there is no crack on the screen or the camera lens. Setting up is very easy, if you want, you can do plug and play no problem, but I recommend checking the date settings to make sure the date is correct, and make sure you are using the pixel recording setting that you want. There are multiple recording settings, but the most usefu for me is 1920x1080@60fps.This dash cam actually can record at 2560x1440p but only at 30fps. And for recording, higher fps is actually important to make sure you can read license plates in case you got into accidents and other issues. In the posted video, you'll see that you can still see the license plate of the car passing by from my left. I've tried using the 1440p@30fps, and although the picture is clearer, the license plate get blurred because of the speed. so I would recommend people also using the 60fps at least. The downside of this camera is that if you're using dual front and rear facing camera, you will be stuck with 30fps which can be a problem, but at the same time, recording 1080p@60fps from both camera will require very high write speed which is possible, but be prepared to spend even more than what you would spend on this camera. The suction cup is a standard suction cup that will get weak when exposed to high temperature when your car is baked under the sun. I've seen the suction cup gave up when the outside temperature hits 90+F so know that this might happen. So if it's hot outside, I usually take off the dashcam off the suction cup so at least the camera wouldn't drop, then when I get back into the car, re-attach the suction cup to make sure it has good grip, and then re-attach the dashcam. The dashcam doesn't have internal battery unfortunately, so even though the camera has a built-in parking mode feature, I don't believe it will activate unless you connect an external power supply to ensure that even when your car is turned off, it can record in parking mode. But the plus is since it has small battery, it can withstand higher temperature in your car.TLDR,+ has dual camera (front and rear facing)+ can record 1080p @60fps+ has parking mode+ high temperature tolerance+ solid build- when in dual camera can only record at 30fps- small battery only for storing settings, so parking mode requires external power supply

This Vantrue dashcam exceeded my expectations. Easy to install, excellent quality images for both internal and external views, and audio is perfect and picks up even soft voices. Must-have for rideshare drivers or anybody who drives a lot. Definitely worth the reasonable price. Nice design and perfect size. Highly recommend.

Really good camera, I was impressed with the video quality, I thought I will need a special SD card to make it work but I only ordered a cheap one from Ali express and worked like a charm, Having a dash cam need to be in every car it’s really a must and this brand make it easy for me. I will buy it in future as a gift for sure.

Instructions hard to understand said the button would blink red when charging it does not. It just stays on. They replaced the first one and the new one is working well. They need to go over the instructions. A good idea for this company would be have someone actually do a start to finish on the product using the instruction and they would see the problem with the instructions. I Ugraded my rating to 4 stars because the product works well.
Agent007
Paid a lot more from Vantrue, camera is so so , not very clear not very detail , for sure this is not HD quality , maybe 480 max even tho I select 4K single front camera recording , the quality of video is ok but 100% NOT clear clear clear , still burry
Rod Glodoviza
I like almost everything that it offers! I love the video quality the most. Easy to use. Customizable with other accessories. The only thing I don’t like is you have to press a button in the camera when you have to lock a footage which is a lot when you’re driving at the same time. But overall could have been perfect but still it’s the best dash cam so far.

I owned its predecessor, the N2. Had been happy with it. Got a new car and gave my old car to my son so need a new dashcam. Got this one for my new car. The new model has improved the resolution. Very happy with it.

Product has high quality video, front and rear, with high framerates available. Product integration with GPS base is nice.Product broke after 1 year - menu button no longer functions (except to beep). Internal battery no longer charges. Camera no longer records.*edit*After diagnostics with Vantrue Support, I shipped the product back to them and they shipped me a new camera, GPS base, and cabling. After a week, everything seems to work so far! Review updated from 1-->4 stars.

This is an awesome dash cam. I've been using Vantrue dash cams for a few years now and they are incredible. The great thing about the N2 and N2 Pro is that they are able to record simultaneously the front facing camera and also the rear facing cabin camera. The picture quality is very good both day and nighttime (has nightvision). The wide angle lenses enable excellent vision. It has a built in microphone that does a great job picking up audio in the cabin. The N2 supports up to 64GB and the N2 Pro can accommodate 128GB.I really like the design as it looks really sleek and unobtrusive in the vehicle. The unit has a small color display for going through menu options or replaying video. It has a built-in battery that allows it to operate for a limited time after power is cut off. The included power adapter is plenty long, allowing easy hidden wire runs along the trim up to the windshield (I have a truck and have cable length to spare). For the times I've had to contact support and customer service (via email) they've always been very responsive and resolved my concerns. I've purchased several units as gifts for family. If you're on the fence, I would definitely recommend the N2 Pro!

This dash cam has been amazing. I bough it because Im a bounty hunter and its nice to have video recording behind me incase something happens ect. The picture quality is by far better than any dash cam I have used yet. As you can see in the pictures the night vision is great and you can even see vehicles in the back windshield. I recommend this for anyone and everyone!!
Me_So_Honey
I had a hard time figuring where to put the power adapter because it is covered by a flap that I didn't know was there. I am not one for instructions though. Any ways once up it stays secure. clear video display of road in color and rear in B+W. MAybe that can be changed in setup somewhere. The main thing here is it stays up very secure and video quality is great. There is more than enough wire on the power cord to tuck it and reach a power source on even a big car. I have not tried night vision yet. When I do I will update. I will also update with a picture and video

So I've been using this camera for a few days and can't really say anything negative about it from a camera and features standpoint. I use it to record the outside front view, and inside cabin view. I also have a separate camera (Vantrue Pro Mini (Link below) in the rear which you can see in the video which records the outside rear view. What I love about this camera is that it allows you to use the front facing camera only (for 1440P resolution)

I bought this dashcam and i was so happy with it but this what happened the mount dose not stay on windshield whether hot or cold keeps falling I called the company they send me another one but same problem dose not stay on windshield plus too much blue color in video no wifi, and no battery, camera turns on with ignition if you turn the ignition off dashcam will turn off no bluetooth night vision sucks finally the camera falls on my coffee cup and the coffee everywhere in my car now the dashcam turns on and off by it self it's really painful when you buy dashcam that cost you all this problems and I thought well I should put my experience with this dashcam that paid $200 to use it as tool in my car that maybe will be useful but turns out painful experience and if someone like to have it please let me know so I can ship it to your address on my expense.

I am a prior owner of a Vantrue N2 -- and only recently upgraded to the N2 Pro. Why?The new enhanced night-vision for the second (in-cabin) view camera was my primary motivator.Pros:1. Small form factor, easily removeable from the mount (pinch release lever and slide off), and super light weight. Can literally be carried in a jacket pocket or purse if you don't wish to leave it in the vehicle.2. Ability to swivel. Unlike dashcams that are attached with adhesive, this camera can be swiveled to capture an event in more detail. Can even swivel enough to capture -- for example -- your interaction with a police officer or highway patrol. Allowing you to have full audio and visual documentation of the situation.3. I like that a GPS module can be added without bulking up the device and that the add-on is reasonably priced. (I added GPS.)4. I like that the dashcam can be hard-wired into your electrical system (separate reasonably priced kit). This keeps your 'cigarette' lighter port available for other uses. (I hard-wired mine.)5. I like that I can select what details are "stamped" onto the recordings. Audio can be toggled. If you have the GPS option, you can add those coordinates. Date and time of course, and even 9-characters for vehicle ID such as plate number or fleet ID.6. I like the disturbance recording also and you can set the sensitivity level. This feature wakes up the camera and records disturbances without constantly draining your vehicle battery.7. I like that the micro-SD card slot is easy to get to. I can swap the micro-SD card without unmounting the dashcam.8. I like that the VanTrue product has never once failed to operate. Through minus-40 in Montana to over 120 interior temps when the vehicle is in the work parking lot in the summer. NO FAILURES.Cons:In all honesty, I have yet to discover anything about the VanTrue N2 or the N2 Pro that has caused me to react with negativity. When I first added a dashcam to my vehicle two years ago, my friends thought I was nuts. But when it comes to protecting your asset and protecting yourself from liability or false claims, a dashcam can easily pay for itself the first time you use the images in your own defense. For all the features that you are getting with the VanTrue N2 Pro -- the price point is very fair and I recommend the N2 Pro or any of the quality VanTrue products to all my friends and family.

I've always been on the fence with dash cams. I don't have a long daily commute or consider myself much of a driver. There have been several occasions, probably two or three times in the last year that I've wished I had some video from. Two near accidents and one mountain lion crossing the road. After researching units, I finally decided on the N2 Pro. I wanted something with at least 1080 and that would be easily added to my Highlander. The standard USB port on the cam allowed me to use an extended USB cable and run it through some paneling. It now auto powers on it the vehicle and doesnt have an ugly cord hanging.Grabbing the videos from the unit couldn't be easier. They immediately open on my PC. Nothing worth having recorded has happened yet, but when it does, it will be easy to transfer and utilize (authorities or insurance). Now to the biggest feature that I thought I didn't need... the inside cam. I didn't think it would be useful, but it reminds me to keep my eyes on the road. The last thing I want is to be in a wreck only to show that I wasn't paying attention. Knowing that I'm on record helps keep me accountable more than I thought it would.I've now been using it for two weeks, I'm hooked. I'll be adding one to the wifes car too. Having video proof to be not at fault is worth the cost over and over.As for the small features it does well...Pros:Night vision (does really well in darkness. Dont even know how)Wide angle (even with it mounted on my left, it grabs the passenger.)Video format is standard.Quality is awesome. I use 1080 for inside/outside. I did test the 60fps which is insane for really getting detail.Responsive & fast to use.Mount has a charge port and is easy to position.Battery (although I dont use it much after running a cord. Guess it helps with park mode)LCD is cool. Didn't think it would be a must, but its a reminder that I'm on camera as the driver.Cons:Buttons are tiny, but still respond well.Mount feels a little cheap, but has not failed in the first 2 weeks. I don't imagine it lasting years on years though. The LCD could be a little larger. With those being said, they aren't enough to knock a star off. If I could give Vantrue some feedback, it would be to use some high quality plastic on the mount, similar to the unit.

It's works great I love it very high quality videos from both the front and the back easy to use fully automatic it starts as soon as I turn on my car and it stops as soon as I turn off my car the memory card is easy to pull in and out and so far I'm very happy with it.

I've been using this camera for a little over a year and it's really a perfect solution. The forward camera quality is unmatched, and the night vision performance of the rearward camera is truly amazing. I was able to capture an image of an unruly passenger and submitted it to Lyft for investigation. Definitely buy the GPS mount--the ability to display speed and location can come in handy.
C G
It's exactly what I wanted. Not using the cabin cam, but forward cam is excellent.
Antonio Rivera
I like this camera, but when you need it does not work. It constantly turn off.I bought a second one for another try, but it has the same problem.Do not buy it.
Ursu Denys
The camera is way overpriced. And a mount for it is a total garbage; how could you make a $200 camera with such a garbage mount? When it’s 80 outside, and a glass heats up the mount(and the camera) just falls off. I imagine if the car gets hit, the camera will just fall off and not gona capture anything.
John
I bought this a while ago and realized it doesn't work solidly. Seriously, who checks their camera every day. The point is to have something working gin the back ground and when you need it you check and it's done its' job and recorded the last few hours of driving. This has not been doing that. It records for a while then stops, I cant even be sure for how long it works, I don't have time for that. For example, I pulled the camera to check something that happened yesterday and the files on the card are all dated from 4 months ago. Most of them are corrupted and wouldn't play. The ones that worked looked fine, but it doesn't help me today. I read some of the reviews and they mentioned a firmware update, I went to the website and tried that, followed the instructions and the camera is not acting the way they say it should (not updating automatically). I emailed support and am waiting for a response, after which I will update this review. My previous camera was only a 1 channel but worked flawlessly for several years with no issues and at 1/4th the price. I wanted to upgrade to a 2 channel system and decided on this. I'm going to look for a different solution, as I still want more features.
Felix G. Robledo
The N2 Pro, is amazing! the quality when recording both the road AND inside the cabin is truly 1080p! The colors show well, and the night vision is crisp. Only wish is that both cameras could work be switched to work with a higher resolution like the front one, but hey this camera more than makes up for that!

Vantrue has done an extraordinary job building quality dash cameras. They have several models out there, but my review is a comparison of the Vantrue N2 Pro (the newer model) and the Vantrue N2.[In the pictures I have attached, the newer model, Vantrue Pro, is pictured either on the right or on the bottom. When pictured alone it is the Pro model. All video stills are from the Vantrue N2 Pro.]I was already thoroughly satisfied with the Vantrue N2. I've had that model for just about 3 years. I desire the night vision feature in the newer model & purchased it. The older model I have to my sister. The quality of the pictures and videos are second to none. It came with detailed English instructions on how to install & operate the camera. I did do a review on the older model if you want to look that up.The Vantrue N2 Pro is different in that it has a night vision mode for the inside camera. This is excellent if you are an Uber driver & would like your cabin filmed quietly & clearly. While both models record sound inside the cabin, it is an added benefit of the Pro to have the night vision mode to be able to see clearly in grayscale what's going on inside. The older model would just show you a black interior with sound unless in some way the cabin is illuminated. Another difference in the 2 cameras is in the newer model they get rid of the audio plug in jack on the side of the camera. I never used this so it didn't bothering me.The only negative that I noticed in the Vantrue N2 Pro is that the night vision mode tends to get stuck on and doesn't transition in the auto mode as it should consistently. This is the reason for my 4 out of 5 stars rating for the night vision. There are a few minor differences in the 2 cameras besides night vision. The N2 Pro records in a max loop of 5 minutes, whereas the N2 can do up to 10 minutes. (Keep in mind the N2 Pro can record up to 20 minutes but with that setting, it will NOT overwrite on the SD card & when full, it stops recording). Another difference is the "non-use power off" feature on the N2 Pro has a max of 3 minutes whereas the N2 has a max of 5 minutes. So if you want the recording to keep going longer after your car has been turned off the N2 will last longer before automatically shutting off.Overall, I feel the night vision mode on the vantrue N2 Pro makes it worth the additional money. I look forward to enjoying the quality workmanship of the Vantrue N2 Pro for many years to come.

At first I felt the screen was too small but once I started using it turned out to be perfect. Not too small and not to big to distract you while driving.

Good camera, but it keeps turning itself off then back on every hour or so. Even when I turn the camera off manually after about 45 minutes or so, it turns itself on. I thought maybe my car’s cigarette lighter wasn’t supplying enough power, so I tried it in my other car and same result. I have the Samsung SD card that’s recommended, and formatted it several times, but no luck.

I drive Uber & Lyft and having good quality dash cam to record the road in front of your as well as inside the cab of your vehicle is a must. The Van true N2 Pro nailed it with both high quality video day and night.
Scott Williams
The camera is easy to set up and works very well. I have only used it for a few days but so far I am impressed with the clarity of its video and the 170-degree view it provides. I did a lot of research as to which camera to purchase and I think I made a great choice. Two things I would change are the length of recorded segments. I bought this as a way to monitor the driving of teenage children. 20 minutes even though it just opens a new file and continues to record it is inconvenient. The other Item I would change is the way the suction cup attaches. there is a swinging lever the engages the suction. When deployed the arm is in a straight line with the camera. When relaxed for removal the arm is off 90 degrees to the side. If this could be reversed or the mechanism changed it would aid in placing the camera higher up on the window.

This is my 4th dash camera and by far the best. My only 2 complaints are the night vision lights don't cover the corners of the image and that this camera seems to run down my battery. I have a pretty large battery, so I feel that this should not happen. I highly suggest getting a voltage regulator to run between the camera and battery.
Don Bailey
I first purchased this camera in April of 2019. As I'm Uber driver I thought that this would be an excellent accessory to have in my vehicle given the amount of driving I anticipated doing. I installed the camera with no hiccups. HOWEVER, shortly after installation, I noticed that the internal battery would not hold a charge. I contacted the dealer (Customer Support) via email (no 800 number as they are in China. You only get one email reply per 24hr period). They suggested I download new firmware (After looking at previously posted reviews seems that they require you to download 'new firmware' quite often) and this did not solve the problem. So, I lived with it envy with no resolution to my issue. Going on I noticed that the date time stamp would reset to zero on its own. I again contacted CS via email. And, yep, you got it, they suggested I download new firmware. Again, I tried it and it worked for a while and then started to fail again the same way. Again, I decided to live with it. So, about a month ago, I noticed that the IR lights used for night vision in the cabin were no longer working. Complete blackout inside the car at night. Not good for a ride share driver. Yet again, I contacted CS via email. This time they asked me to provide them with proof of purchase so they could determine if the product was still under warranty. I provided them with the order invoice and they came back a day later telling me that it was out of warranty. It was, but by a month. Well, I guess a month is a month is a month. BUT, I was hoping that given the fact that I had began contacting them with problems that were never permanently resolved early on, thy would provide me with courtesy warranty support. Nope! Just a humble apology. Oh, they did say they'd be happy to sell me another one at a discounted price. Well, I paid $200 for this and they are new selling well below that purchase price on Vantrue. Based on my experience with these guys I bet they think that that would be the 'discount'. Bottom line recommendation: I would venture a guess that if you did some research, you'd find a comparable camera for less than what I paid for it. Yes, the 18 mo warranty is nice, but I don't get the feeling that they fully stand behind their product(s) given my feedback and from what I see on other reviews. Am I pissed? Yes. But mainly disappointed. I guess I'll continue to use the camera until it completely fails, which may not be a long time. Then I'll have to decide what my next step is. If and when I buy a new camera, I will do my best to make sure I don't buy anything from China. Quality is low and products fail often. I would not recommend this product or anything from Vantrue.

If I could able to adjust the color that would be perfect. Right now the color is too much blue.

I have their N1 camera and I loved it but I thought I should get an upgrade and also interested in this Dual Camera feature. Came in a nice packaging with a nice manual guide which I don't need because the interface is almost the same as my N1. I'm surprise how compact the camera is, in the picture I assumed it will be bigger than my N1. Just like my experience with the N1, the video quality is very great and I'm amazed especially with the dual cameras, both video qualities are great! I love how you can adjust the focus on each cameras.I just wish Vantrue will start making an app for the iPhone so I can view or download videos from the camera directly to the iPhone wirelessly. Overall I'm loving this camera.

The camera works really well, the quality is great and it's been very reliable. What isn't so great is the mount. First, there's no click when you connect the camera and mount, it never locks into place so it can just slide out.The ball joint for the mount has zero way to tighten it, and so the camera just flops around everywhere. I even went so far as to purchase another mount made my the same company that had that locking feature and the connector was a different width and didn't fit so I'm out even more money.I wish they would take a little more time to design a mount that functions better because that's a huge Achilles heel in the design. I probably wouldn't recommend this camera to anyone simply because regardless of how good the device may be, if it can't reliably capture what you need and stay locked it's useless.

Love the night vision in the cab!

For the price this is an amazing camera. At night time the camera picks everything up - Interior camera switches to IR which stills allows for you to see everything in the cabin no matter the lighting. You do have the option to disable the interior camera so it becomes only forward facing.Pros: Great Camera qualityDual cameraWith mount can record speedEasy set up - Plug and PlayLooks cool sitting on my windscreenCons:Not a fan of the Power cord. Requires you take up the cigarette lighter completely. To get around this I bought a 10ft black cord and plugged it into my wireless transmitter.

I was excited to get this product but I've had a few issues. I noticed that even though it was showing to be recording it was not being stored on the memory card. Since then my unit will not power up. I'm working with support to get this resolved. I'm hopeful because I do feel like this is a good product. I will say the images on the small screen are hard to see but there really isn't much room to make them larger.

A little expensive but it seems to be of good quality. The picture quality is very satisfactory for both cameras and the night vision works good. I drive Uber part time and had a dashcam already which I was very happy with but I was looking for a camera that would record the interior of the car as well. I could not find one that is made for only the interior so I went with the Vanture N2 Pro as it comes highly recommended by other drivers.Pros:1) Dual lens with high resolution on both and night vision2) 170 degrees wide angle for out facing camera and 140 degrees for the interior cover almost everything.3) F2.0 interior and F1.8 forward facing lens aperture with infrared night vision captures descent picture quality at night4) Easy to setup and use menu options5) Very high ( up to 256GB ) SD card capacity6) Micro USB connects to the mount ( makes it easier to remove the camera without taking off the wire)7) 18 month warrantyCons:1) Battery instead of capacitor ( worried about hot summer days )2) GPS optional. (at this price it should be built in )3) Small screen (sufficient for making menu adjustments but not for viewing videos)4) No WiFi ( so connecting via USB to a computer or taking out the SD card are the options)5) The charger cable connects to cigarette lighter ( If you only have one in your car You can't charge anything else while the camera is connected ) but the top of the charger slided over and there is one USB port for charging additional item.6) Suction mount ( So far okay but afraid it would fall off )

Received the dash cam a few days ago and was working perfectly. I was amazed as to how good the "Parking Mode" function worked. Picked up the slightest movement anywhere in front and behind camera (when in dual camera mode). Was very happy until I decided to perform the firmware update. We followed the update instructions exactly as noted in the Vantru Support Page and after update it would not indicate the new firmware on the camera info screen even though it seemed to have gone thru the update process correctly. I reinstalled the camera in the car and noticed it would not go into parking mode when we tried to manually select it. After we were able to select Parking Mode (took several button pushes) the camera would not record unless you put your hand up against the windshield and waved it around (like a mad man) in order to get Parking Mode to activate. The same with inside camera. It took lots of movements before it activated. Before the update attempt the Parking Mode was the most impressive function on this camera, after the update (attempt) Parking Mode no longer worked properly. We sent it back to Vantrue for a replacement and this time we will NOT be doing a firmware update..... so we recommend skipping the firmware update if your camera is working properly out of the boxUPDATE 5/18/19: We received the camera and, against my better judgement, we installed the new firmware. We again began to have the same issue with the camera but Vantrue came thru like a champ and helped us restore the firmware since it was no longer listed on their website. The customer service was outstanding. Vantrue helped us pinpoint the issue and took it upon themselves to update their website (within hours of my communication with them) in order to allow us (and anyone else having issues) to download it. The camera is now up and running perfectly. The Parking Mode, which we use a lot, works great. In daylight nothing seems to escape the Parking Mode sensor, even the cabin camera picks up movements on the sides (outside) of the vehicle. At night objects must be closer to car in order for Parking Mode to pick it up but still works very well

I Purchased this camera on December 28, 2018 my brother was driving my vehicle I February. he got a ticket by CHP for a speeding ticket . The officer said he was supposedly going 88 mph. When I reviewed the video HQ the video showed that he was going 64 mph. The judge saw the video he dismissed the ticket.I had a car accident a month ago. The person ran the stop sign and hit me from behind . When we pulled over first out of his mouth it’s your fault. I said nope I have you on camera then he change his tune and said sorry. The officer and insurance company saw the video cleared my self and claim other person add fault. $250 for the camera take my money again.

I am quite surprised at the video quality this device produces. Working with cameras and video professionally, I didn’t think this could stand up to my critique. This morning I had my first low light test and the picture quality was great! Installation is a bit of a pain having to run the wire through my ceiling panel to the power adapter but it’s done. Otherwise the wire, which is quite long, will get in your way. I love that it has both the front and rear camera so I can see my problem dog in the backseat without turning my head around. I definitely would recommend this product for someone looking for a driving recording device.

Update:As you will see in my previous review there was a concern about the functionality of the g sensor. Finally one day after closing (slamming closed) my door and in another occasion hitting a bump on the highway having the g sensor set to high, i have got event files, meaning the g sensor works ok. Certain timesI am getting some glare depending from the time of day, and driving in a big city at night with a lot of lights you can get a lot of blinding reflection. The four stars given (5-1=4) is for the last interaction with the customer service. The camera itself is well made and the picture quality is very good.I would prefer a polarizer filter or a good uv filter in addition. While the customer service was helpful all along when I decided to test the g sensor i contacted the customer service and I got a lot of unnecessary questions from them, but I never got a positive answer. You have to contact the customer service only by email and receive an answer in about 24 hours. When I asked about the functionality of the g sensor I got about 4 different people contacting me asking me unrelated questions about it, which gave me the impression that they wanted me to quit asking. I still don’t know if the g sensor works. The picture quality also has a blue tint even with the latest firmware, in order to correct it is a different firmware file in their web site VTN2Pro8F.V21_IQ which corrected the tint. As I am writing this message I just realized that there is a new firmware available as of 5-10-19, VTN2Pro8F.V29, I didn’t Install it yet because I don’t know what it does. This firmware is about the vantrue N2 Pro Dual.Overall the camera is of good quality.

The camera is very easy to operate, and setup is quick. I tried it for 24 hours and already love it. Video quality is very good during the day or night. Love the product will buy it again.

I really like the resolution of both the front & back pictures. The night vision is pretty good for what it is - not bad, just not super great. Overall I would give it a 4.75 plus. Great dash cam.

Glad I ended up getting this one with to dual cam . Very to install, extremely clear picture, and perfect size.

I ordered this camera because of its dual camera feature. After using it on my personal daily car I'm quite impressed with the quality. It comes with all the necessary accessories. It doesn't come with SD card. I bought a Samsung 256gb SD card with it and it works flawlessly. The interior and exterior cameras are both high quality. The only thing that could be improved is the cord that comes with it. When I tried to connect it to the outlet it was a bit short, so I had to get a longer cord. Other than that it's worth the money.
