Very easy to install and suction cup actually holds. The menu buttons for set up are very small and you actually have to read the book to set it up properly as buttons on unit are not intuitive. Get the right SIM card as they suggest so as not to risk recording issues.
This is a fantastic dashcam. Does everythiing I need it to do - loop recording, front and rear cameras, 1080p resolution, and also it took 30 seconds to install. This is my 4th vantrue camera and I chose the N2 because I have an access cab and the rear window is so close to the driver seat it didn't warrant a separate camera facing the rear.Thumbs up to Vantrue for putting out a high quality product! I have 3 other cars and I have VanTrue S1 cameras in them.
Glad I purchased this dash cam. The rear camera and night vision comes in handy as opposed to my previous dash cam that lacks all the features the N2 offers
I have two cars, one for personal and one for business, after carefully searching I came upon this dashcam. The main reason I bought this dashcam because you can easily transfer the dashcam between 2 or more cars as you wish all the have to do is buy extra holder and stick to other car. Video quality is good great for rideshare. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
If you drive for Uber or Lyft, this is a must have. The inside night vision is amazing and will not disappoint. 1080 P on both cameras are excellent. The outside camera does exactly what it supposed to do. The two of them together will protect you inside and out.
I’ve this dash cam for my other car for ride share, so far it’s helpful and reliable, the video and the pictures are very clear even in night vision, for me the best feature is the camera recording inside and outside the car which what i was looking for before i buy any dash cam 8 recommend
I just started using it and it’s really amazing. Good quality of picture and it does record while in parking mode. Thankfully I haven’t been in any accidents but it’s dependable. I bought the hardwire kit as well in order to keep it running. Fast and easy setup.
Picture quality is ok, better distance clarity would be nice and the night vision is ok, but could be better as well. On occasion the suction cup breaks loose. Updated review, loop issue was a bad SD card, and I forgot to mention the suction cup.
This is a great dash camera for the price you really can’t beat it, It has all of your basic features the rear facing camera in addition to the front camera makes it a great option for some driving for Uber of Lyft
I have decided to buy this camera for significant amount of information available to see from those already using it nownow it has been over week this camera has good quality of pic and easy to use night vision, parking mode and microphone which is built in and still you can control it, the small size of the camera keep it hidden and at the same time easy to take it of the mount and put it back to avoid car intruders.
The N2 Pro dash camera has great features including a reverse camera to video activities behind vehicle. The camera has great video picture quality.Real happy with the product!!
My wife gave this to me as a gift. It is really good, not so good, and really bad.First, it has a nice wide front camera and the main camera for regular video works as it should.The rear facing camera is not wide enough (F150) to capture both front passengers. In a smaller vehicle I expect it would be worse than in our truck because the camera would be closer to the driver and passenger.The really bad, and please understand, I can run my Canon DSLR on manual, have a gopro and van make it do everything it is capeable of, and have DJI drones that I can fly well. The time lapse function on this N2 is impossible. If someone figures it out, please reply to this review and help me out.And Lastly, and this was a huge turn off for me, the manufacturers poo-pooed sandisk throughout the manual and said their micro-SD cards are bad and won't work and not to use them. To use Samsung ONLY. Well, I don't respect companies that down play their competition and even slander them and say they will not work in the device. My 128Gb Sandisk Extreme works just fine in this N2. They should be held accountable for misrepresenting the ability of their competitors product. Chinese/English translation is pretty bad.I did keep my N2 and use it.The 'parking' feature requires that it uses your vehicles battery or a seperate power source. I have not left that feature running, I can't afford to have a dead battery. So it gets unplugged when I stop driving.
I have order a few different brands of dual cameras for my girlfriend's car. She does Uber and lift. All of them where terrible but not this one. The camera is built nice it's super easy to install and just works very well. It's the best one at this price point.
I have had the camera for less than a year. Good quality of the image and sound. I used mostly the front camera with standard mount and Vantrue N2 Pro, N2, T2, R3, X3 Dash Cam Mini USB Port Adhesive Dash Cam Windshield Mount with GPS Receiver Module. I like second better as it has a lower profile. As I used it, I noticed that the time stamp resets after a few days, sometime even 5 days, to the default date 01/01/2018. Eventually connected to tech support and submitted several images indicating the issue and time line of occurrence of time stamp changes. Tech supported asked to send the the camera and sent me a new camera from Vantrue. I am really impressed with the promptness of their responses and their strive to satisfy the customer. It is quite rare behavior in our days which I greatly appreciate.U P D A T EIt is corona virus "stay in home" situation.I did not drive my car in 9 days (extreme).Checked my dash cam. It still keeps current day. Very happy.Waiting for good deal for a newer model to buy for my wife.Thank you Vantrue.
Overall good picture and sound but there is a clear problem with the loop recording. I installed in both my wifes and my car and after a while it stops recording. Many times Insee the date change...and it happens to both. Needed it twice for reveiwinf, and each time it didnt record. I just dont understand how it has great reviews

Price is certainly no joke; you get a high quality product that works just as it is intended to. The piece is light, but feels sturdy. Controls are easy to learn. It does exactly as advertised. And you get more for your money by going to their online support. An extension of warranty, easy to do firmware updates, and a free hardware addition for a bit of your time. Overall, few sellers show their customers they genuinely care. This product, by contrast, shows they care.
For my first dash cam I’m very satisfied with it. Easy to use and works flawlessly. I purchased this with the hardwire kit. This is the only way to go. Took me about 20 minutes to get it installed. The only thing lacking in this model is the Bluetooth or WiFi to be able to remotely view images. All round good dash cam. The quality is great.
Memory keeps on resetting, which means I gotta keep on fixing the date and time. Videos are not in order in playback and dates will get messed up. Overall with the price I paid for... 75$ is appropriate!

This thing is awesome! Super easy to set up, the picture quality is very good and clear, also the audio is quite decent, I am a truck driver so my truck is a little loud however, you can still hear me clear. Highly recommend!
It was setting in the box for months cause I was out of the country. I'm back and I I’ve noticed that the box seal is opened, the wires are randomly folded inside the box and the mount is missing. I wish I had open it when it arrived.
The camera looks great when we first purchased it 2 years ago, everything seemed fine. Recently someone had an accident in front of my wife while she was driving on the freeway. We pulled off the camera and connected it to the computer to realize that the camera has not been recording. We had set it up correctly to auto-erase and loop, and every time she drives the car she will check the camera to verify that the red record symbol appears on the screen. I thought I'd try it in my car, and even though it shows a timer like it's recording it does not actually record. If you purchase this camera, or probably for best practice any dashcam, verify that it's actually recording. This shocked us because we had the false assurance that it was recording our drives.
Would not reccomend. The camera quality is semi decent, but the mount and camera holder is very flimsy. The camera rotates when the car moves and swivels. After a month it eventually broke altogether. I was looking forward to this as a solution for rideshare, but it ended up costing more money when I have to replace it.
I have been absolutely ecstatic about this dashcam - not only does it record extremely detailed and quality video, it's super easy to use. I paired it with Vantrue's GPS mount and hardwire kit, and I have never had a problem. Highly recommended.

So far so good. I only had it for a few months. It doesn't come on with the car, nor shut off with the car being turned off. SO that advertisement was BS. It oddly records in small video chunks, not one continuous video. I have no idea if it over writes old vids when the memory runs out. I would imagine it does this.ANyways its not the best dash cam ever, but its not a turn either.
Camera randomly changes it's time, and date making the use of the videos that are date stamped, null, and void in a court of law. Defeating the very reason I bought it. Don't look to Vantrue for help as they claim they will call you back. (yea, right) They have no phone number for you to call !!!!
I’m extremely unhappy for buying this dash cam. I checked the reviews before buying and was hoping to get one of the best cameras but not.I followed the instructions and once putting in brand new SD card , camera keeps on asking to insert SD card which makes no sense.After a minute it turns off by itself. I don’t know if that’s manufacturing defect or what but it’s useless device and I want my money back.
I had bought the Vantrue x1 and bought the extra gps mount for it about 2 yrs ago, so i thought i would upgrade to the n2 pro. When i recieved the pro the gps mount would not fit, I wrote to Vantrue and told them of my problem and they will send the gps mount that fits the pro. I thought that was very nice of them. Fantastic customer service.
I get a thousand videos of my truck sitting there and somehow none are of me driving. the second I unplug it it dies, so the batter is complete garbage... Don't buy this.also the mount is very wobbly so any time you accelerate it will swing one way or another.. I had to glue mine to keep it steady.
I bought this two years ago, after buying two other dashcams, while impressively full-featured, I had hoped the latest firmware would finally give it the simplest and biggest improvement : loop recording after the card is full. It's not that hard to do. Many other cheaper dashcams, home cameras, and NVRs - why can't this? The fact they nickel and-dime you for a GPS receiver sold separately seems like a cheap move, too.
I installed my old Garmin until I could invest in a better solution. Right out of the box, and this is back when I bought it awhile ago (I just don't have time most of the time for writing reviews, dealing with returns, etc), the USB cable didn't work. Good thing the cable from the Garmin was compatible. Pressing anything on the camera, buttons, etc forced me to readjust the camera because the neck is so weak (if I'd tightened it any more it'd crack) that any interactions with the camera forced readjustment. This is frustrating and wastes time. Heck, driving around readjusted the darned thing. Also the suction pad is so small it would fall off the windshield more often than the heavier Garmin I'd bought it to replace. It's sitting in a box collecting dust until I throw it out later. I don't have enough confidence in the product to attempt to resell it or give it to anyone I care about.
This is a great dash camera. Plain and simple. The video quality is excellent and it is easy to use. The only issue I had was the night vision. It didn't work at all. I didn't return it, opting to keep it as is. Vantrue offered a replacement but really, I just turned off the interior camera. I was pretty annoyed that it wouldn't work properly right out of the box but I would buy anther one and probably will for the rear view so I'll be covered front and back. Overall, this is the best dash camera I have had and I have had a couple that were just garbage. I am sure the night vision works great for others but I can't say I would know.
Worked fine for a few months, then started resetting and would say that the memory card needs to be reformatted. This started happening in the early part of the summer of 2019.I finally decided to email on 1/22/2020 but haven't gotten a response. Will get a memory card w/ EVO and see if that works. Otherwise, I'll try to somehow ship it back, as I bought mine on 1/13/2019, but there's a 18 month warranty.
The camera is awesome. The mount is not. And the included cigarette lighter adapter's cord was ridiculously short, and even if it would have reached, I have multiple other devices that require that outlet... So I did not install it right away, as I was waiting for a separately ordered hardwire kit. And then I had to wait to return that kit and get a different hardwire kit.When I finally installed it, three later, it seemed to work great. Until the third day when it fell off of my windshield, dangling by the cord. I cleaned the suction cup and the windshield, and replaced it. Two days later, it fell off again. Rinse and repeat. Two days later, it fell off again. I went to look for alternate mounts, but because the power requires the stock mount... that is not an option.So I looked into returning it. Because I was at 33 days since it had been delivered, I couldn't return it. Now I have a dashcam that seems to work amazingly well, that I cannot use. My wife suggested I superglue the suction cup in place, but I am not even going to consider that - too many potential issues.
camera worked well for about six months and then it would just stop recording. I would reformat. Same deal. Mind you I had it set to loop record. I messaged vantrue. lets see if they stand by their gear and offer some solid customer service. i really like the the camera for what it is. I also have another vantrue lesser model but only have one car at the time.
I liked this camera. But there are some major issues. First and foremost, the window mount. Its garbage. No matter how tightly you fasten it, it's too loose and just flops around. Every time you turn a corner while driving the camera turns too, so its no longer facing the road. This happens even when you upgrade to the GPS mount. Also, the suction cup the mount uses does not work, so the camera randomly falls down when your driving.Secondly, the battery. A few months ago my battery stopped charging. I've tried hooking it up to the charger in my house, but it doesn't charge at all. That means that every couple of days it resets its clock and date info, which is quite annoying to remember to fix every morning. At $200 the battery should last longer than 19 months.Stay far away from this product. The night vision and image quality are great, but that means nothing if it wont stay pointed at the road and wont hold a charge.
Work two days return it bought same one again work one day, return it and bought different models. I am happy with the new brand cooau now, which has WiFi connection and app for downloading thanks to COOAU
G-Sensor doesn't work. There are no recordings even when I got an accident. Twice so far I realized after it was too late that the dash cam wasn't recording while I was driving. It should be on when the car is one right? And back when the ad listed as being a parking monitor dash cam I assumed it had a battery. They have changed it to reflect that it needs to connected to car battery. Guess how I figured that out, And then after connecting to the battery, sometimes it doesn't record after the car is started.Records when it wants, terrible data management for the SD card and no G-sensor. I provided this and evidence to Customer Service, but they said it was operating as designed. Two accidents I wasn't at fault for, that the dash cam wasn't recording. My mistake. I'll buy one from another vendor.
I tried to turn off rear camera and audio but didn't actually turned off the video. Audio was muted though. I cant read license plates from the videos. No wifi and BT connections so it needs to be detached or hard wired to a laptop to be able to view or copy pics and videos
Was worth every penny. Much more than I had expected it in video quality. Sound comes out crisp too. I was a little worried about the learning curve and setup. All of it was easy.... I'd say less than half an hour to get the hang of exploring the settings/ buttons.

It was mounted to the windshield, and one day I tried to look at the screen and the camera was dead.It worked long enough to get through the warranty period.Now it's dead.How is it that a product costing $200 can fail after a few months and the seller just walks away? DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. IT WOULD BE EASIER TO JUST FLUSH YOUR MONEY DOWN THE TOILET.
There should be an app where we can download clips immediately without having to connect to the computer. It's super slow to find what you need and download to the computer.
The camera quality is quite good on both cameras. I wish the gps adapter came with the usb coming out the left side at a 90 degree angle, instead of sticking straight up (takes up too much space that way with the cord) so you cant mount it higher.
I received this as a gift from my husband and it's a great quality camera. It's easy to pull video off when I want it and I really like that it loops the recordings.
Product impression: It does not look cheap. It’s well built and the outside feels like rubberized. I left it in a car through very hot summer and still no issue.
Very good resolution: See the photos. Both interior and exterior resolutions are good. Interior of my car is black leather and the person is wearing dark blue jacket but the camera still shows a good image. I redacted the face but details are pretty good. Vehicle license plate numbers can be read on 1080P (outside)/1080P(inside). The menu also offers a higher resolution but then it does not offer dual camera views.
Easy setup: Good suction cup/holder is very steady and not shaky. Well built, plug and play as the factory setting is already good for most users. Menu and buttons are simple and easy to understand. Good user interface.
Excellent/responsive customer: Customer support by email is very responsive and genuinely interested in resolving a customer’s concerns and issues. It generally takes 1 or 2 days to response but they do get back to you. They also don’t hesitate to offer exchange a defective dash cam under warranty after trouble shootings.
Optional GPS: Quick fix GPS antenna and enables speed of a vehicle stamps on video files.
Suggestion: Use good quality micro SD cards made for frequent write/delete like SanDisk High Endurance Video Monitoring. Check once in a while to make sure the files are not corrupted. Reformat every 1 or 2 weeks. Keep one extra SD card as backup. Throw away and get a new one if SD cards keep corrupted or turns on/off the dash cam. Also, always use OEM cable and charger. Connect USB directly to the dash cam rather than through the holder or GPS antenna if you are having any power issue. Update firmware only if necessary so that you know if the dash cam experiences some issues you can spot the issue.
