I like the picture quality and how easy it was to record. Once it turns on it starts recording. What I dislike is that it is very sensitive to temperature. I bought this item in the spring and not even 5 months passed, but my dash cam is broken. Remembered getting into my car (not a very hot day but warm), my car was probably around 80 degrees Fahrenheit inside and when I got in, I heard the dash cam turning on and off as if it was restarting and shutting down immediately. I took off the dash cam from the mount and tried to turn it off but it was still doing the same thing and then just turned off and cannot turn on. I put it back on the mount and drove for some time (thinking I needed to recharge it) because the mount is connected to my car battery, but it did not turn on. I paid a lot of money for this so it shouldn't be this bad. I couldn't contact the seller either, so I'm putting my review here in hopes someone can reach out to me.

Need: ability to read street signs and most importantly license plates both day and night. Also need infrared rear facing camera that works wells.I compared this to Anker Roav’s newest addition dual camera with infrared capability.Findings: this camera has poorer front view image quality versus the Anker dual lens version, however; Ankers dual lens version is not much better and in my testing actually performed poorer than ankers older C1 Pro version that does not have dual lens but generally can be purchased for a lot less. The Upside: this camera has great rear view infrared in comparison to the Anker. In fact I liked that aspect so much that I considered keeping just for that but having recently been in a Hit and run accident I was so glad i was able to get the guys license plate using my older Anker C1 pro. With this camera I could barely get the license of the car in front me let alone next to me. So sadly I returned. I’m no Anker fan boy in fact I returned there dual lens version because in rear view infrared was a joke and they also came up short with front facing camera in comparison to their older version. So sad. But glad I was able to get the guys plates and report S.O.B. To California highway patrol.

Third camera I bought, price makes the difference, well built unit, easy setup, superb picture quality. Using it with a Samsung 256 GB card (format the card within the camera, no hassle no issues). I do not drive much in the night so not yet tested the night mode. As of now satisfied with the quality of the product.

I love this camera. I recently had a hit and run car accident incident and if it wasn't for this camera....my car would have never been fixed by the other persons insurance. Thank you! I definitely would recommend it for anyone especially uber, lyft or taxi drivers

This dash cam miss footage. I was waiting in light and some other guy run the red light and had accident. Then I looked into it so I could give the footage to the poor guy but no recording. Same thing happened before that and I had miss video not a good dash cam

Like the features, how clear and the 170 * view is. It is easy to mount and can be moved from car to truck easy. The unit is well worth the price. Will more than likely purchase another unit to mount permanently in the wife's car. I use it all the time in which ever car or truck I am driving.

This is the first dash cam I have ever purchased. With all the bad drivers and the dirty cops on the streets you have to be covered.

The old adage "you get what you payed for", is absolutely right. I first bought my N2 Pro a year ago and it went everywhere with me in my truck, all around Southern California and Nevada. Recently i noticed that the on board battery had gone bad. This meant that the camera couldn't date the video footage accurately among other things, even though the footage was being save on the card.I contacted Vantrue in hopes of being able to buy a replacement battery. With a few emails back and forth, I sent my old camera in and got a new one back. The customer support team at Vantrue is excellent! As many of the other review have said, the camera is great. The footage is high quality, and it has many features (including the optional GPS, which i bought). A good quality dashcam can be worth it's weight in gold and this one certainly is. It has a cabin facing camera, which in my opinion crucial for cab drivers or anyone who drives with a ride-sharing app (uber, lyft, etc.). Having a cabin facing camera is also beneficial to prove that you were driving attentively. So take my advice and buy this dashcam. Like all safety implements, hopefully it is never needed in an accident or emergency, but if there is ever a need, you'll be glad to have prepared. (You also might end up recording something interesting happening on the road). In conclusion I'd like to say that, I really like a quality item, but i especially like a company that is willing to stand behind their product.

They are constantly falling off the glass windshield even after cleaning the windshield and suction cup with alcohol. Very disappointed!

This is one great dashcam!!! it’s sturdy, and video recording is clear.....it records both outside the and inside the vehicle....it also has parking mode, when the camera detects movement, it starts recording automatically, but in order for that to work, you have to hardwire it to your vehicle or use a powerbank. This is a great dashcam, I definitely recommend it!

Perfect camera for insurance, security, Lyft, or Uber drivers. Or any other reason for that part. The night vision and quality on both cameras is great. Worth every penny.

It serves the purpose

High quality. No issues. Works well. Easy to install and get going. Have to have a certain kind of memory card for correct operation.

My dash cam arrived yesterday and I was pretty excited until I tried to attach the suction to the window. I cleaned the window several times and finally got it to stick to the window until I got a small bump in the road. The camera won't stick. The other thing is the power cord. The power cord is very unattractive and bulky how it has to feed around your window edges (still visible) only to stick out of your cigarette lighter. I'm looking for something to look as sexy as my car.

Great picture quality and easy to use. However, after owning it for just 2 years. The device has stopped functioning.

I brought this Vantrue N2 Pro Uber Dual Dash Cam Infrared Night Vision Dual 1920x1080P Front and Inside Dash Camera September/2018. Quality wise this is very good product. Customer service is excellent and very cooperative.

I drive for Uber, and a dashcam is a godsend for rideshare drivers. This one is a de-facto standard. For about a year this little camera saved me from a wide variety of unpleasant accusations, ranging from traffic tickets to kidnapping accusations (my accuser ended up in jail). Great, why 1 star rating then? Well, let's fast forward to today.Today I was involved in a rather tricky fender bender arranged by insurance scammers, where the dashcam footage was the only way of proving that I was not at fault. No big deal, right? I go home, take the memory card from the camera, plug it into a card reader… only to find out that the last recording is from 2 months ago. No accident in the "Events" folder, either. All this time the camera was blinking a "recording" symbol as usual. No error messages, no unusual chirps or chimes, nothing. No way of knowing that something was wrong. Now I'll take an "at fault" insurance hit for this scam and will have to pay Uber's $1,000 deductible. Great work, Vanture!…

I actually ended up purchasing an N2 Pro yesterday. I already own an X3 and what I was looking for is a camera that can record the inside (cabin) and the outside of my vehicle because the valet at my building keeps stealing things. The product page is excellent in my opinion; it really didn't leave any questions on my mind. However, I really think they should market that its not only for uBer and Lyft drivers but the inside camera can keep your valuables safe.In my case, my apartment valet keeps stealing things. Now I’m hoping to catch them on video.

Sometimes it doesn’t always loop the recording. Need to format the sad card frequently. Using sandisk card 32 gig

I've always wanted to pick up a dash camera to capture that instance something goes wrong. The most important thing to me is that it is RECORDING. The Vantrue was a breeze to setup and is always running when I want it on. I've used it in two vehicles: Acura RDX and Tesla Model 3.Acura RDX:The setup was simple. Charge two hours before using it (I think this just gives it some running power for setup and power up/power down). Put in memory card, mount it in the car, plug it into power. Boom it comes on and it’s recording, no need to do anything else. Drove around enjoying that the display facing me gave me confirmation of what was recording and that it was on and functioning. After parking, the camera turns itself off within like 10 seconds of powering the car off. After getting back in the car and starting it, camera powers on and starts recording.Tesla Model 3:Why would I put this in a car that has built in dash cam recording and even Sentry mode (recording when parked)? Similar to the RDX everything works just fine. However, those who own Model 3s know we don't really "turn off" our cars. We get out of the car and walk away while the car is still powered on. I assumed that when the car locks and powers off the camera would do the same. NOPE, the car continues to power the camera so you have CONTINUOUS recording which is great to find those people who pull up and try to smash our small windows.Video Quality:The quality is great, and it’s higher quality than the Tesla recordings. Also, the tesla recording give the video an odd "hue" to it. With the Vantrue I read complaints that you can't catch people’s license plates etc etc. First, there is no camera that auto focuses on license plates so yes if a car zooms by you it’s no different than a human not being able to read it let alone if you had your iphone out it wouldn't record it and you wouldn't have time to tap "focus". The quality is good and you can get license plates if they are in front of you "long enough" where a human would normally need to focus their eyes etc. Second, with the 1440p camera option you can "enhance" photos nowadays, so I find it hard to believe that if you needed to you wouldn't be able to extract the plate.Design:I really really like the suction cup; the turn to lock is nifty. Vantrue paid attention to detail when they put a power plug on the suction cup mount so that it would be streamline. Additionally, there is a USB charger on the power plug base so you don't lose the ability to charge phones. In fact you gain a cigarette lighter to USB converter.I'll finish with my fixation on it recording. I grabbed video from the Vantrue and Tesla to compare them side by side. Guess what, the Tesla didn't record video. When the Tesla memory is full it stops RECORDING. So if you get in an accident you won't have the recording and there is no notification to tell you it's full. Of course Tesla will fix this, eventually. Lastly, I was driving my Tesla down the freeway and hit a hard hat in the carppool lane, it was unavoidable. But because I didn't know how to operate the "record" function on the Tesla I never got the video proof from the car. This is why Vantrue has great value. It just works.I can upload photos and videos if I find that people find my post useful to compare Tesla and Vantrue.I'll probably pick up another one so I have one in both cars. This is a must if you're a ride share driver. The interior camera is superb with its wide lens. For those who simply want to record front only, you can easily disable the in-car camera.

I’ve had it for about a month now, love it so farOnly thing I don’t like is the fact that mind didn’t come with a manual for some reason, thought I took it out by accident but checked everywhere and nothingMaybe it was just mine***updateIt stopped workingIt would turn off here and their randomly and wold turn back on again but now it won’t turn back on whatsoever. I’m thinking ghat it’s probably the cable but other then the fact I couldn’t see my videos then and there and that it stopped working, I liked the camera, don’t think it does well in the heat and I live in TX

I been driving for Uber for 4 year now and can say this is the best dash cam on the market. The dual camra is a must if your or rideshare driver. The vocie recording is a great plus as well. My wife wanted a dash cam for her car and this was a good way for me to upgrade my car as well. I still use and love the old N2 without nite vision (which is in my wife car now) and cant say one bad thing about it. The new N2 with nite vision is just great. N2 saved my butt many times and paid for itself serverl times over. If you a rideshare driver or want to start. The New N2 is a MUST !!!!!!!

I've only had this camera a couple days, but so far, it has lived up to the expectations. I'm a rideshare driver, so I wanted a dash cam that would record the inside and outside, have night vision, and have excellent picture quality. This camera fits all the above criteria and then some! This camera does live up to its hype!

I’ve been using this dash cam for around 9 months and I’m very impressed by the quality of the camera. Vantrue’s customer service is wonderful! Responded to my email very quickly and solved my problem just as quickly.

Dash cam still falls off here and there from hot weather but the camera itself works ok even if it itself gets hot. the solo 60fps mode doesn't seem to work, it looks just like 30fps compare to regular mode and jumping to 1440p it seems mostly the same. it almost like there's a little blur filter where it wont be clear at any mode.i purchased the hard wire kit and in parking mode it only records 10 seconds at a time making a lot of files (256GB) and skips over a few seconds that could be crucial to an event.lastly personal opinion the front camera is a little too wide making it hard to read license plates even if you're close to the car, you'd have to be at a stop light to see the plates. good enough but id suggest checking others out before considering this one

Update on 9/14/2020:Deducted 1 star because after 2 years the internal battery on this unit died (purchased summer of 2018). I was able to replace the battery but this is not something the average owner will be able to accomplish because it involves disassembling the unit and soldering the leads of the new battery onto a circuit board. For $200+ dollars (if you also get the GPS mount) I expect a longer life. A well engineered unit would allow for end-user replacement of a battery.Original review on 7/2/2019 follows:What I want is a dashcam I can setup and forget about. For the most part this accomplishes that goal. This does have some shortcomings but mine has already paid for itself - hence the 5 stars. Let me explain.First some notes:1) I installed this unit with an "add-a-fuse adaptor" that can be used to plug into your existing fuse box without having to cut any wires. Mine is installed in a circuit that turns on/off with the vehicle. You can also wire this unit to where it's always on however you need to have "dashcam low-voltage protection" in your circuit so the camera doesn't completely drain your battery when your car is left unattended for extended periods.2) If you want GPS you'll also need to purchase the "Vantrue N2 Pro GPS Receiver Module Mini USB Port Car Suction Cup Mount" for windows and Max. This will replace the mount that comes with the unit and feed GPS signals to your dashcam. In return you'll get vehicle location, speed and route. You'll see location as latitude/longitude and speed in MPH in the video. You'll see route on mapping software you can download off the internet. Now the Pros:1) Front and back video. Most people think of the back facing video to film occupants (which is certainly does). However the reason I bought this was to have video of vehicles to the rear of mine. This paid off in a recent insurance claim which I'll discuss below.2) The video on this dashcam is great. Yes when a vehicle is close enough you can read the license plate. I'd say within 10-15 feet or so. No complaints about either the front or back video.3) Easy to access the video. Don't even have to remove the memory card. Just pull the entire unit and then plug it into your PC using a USB cable. Will come up as a drive on your PC and you can click on any video you'd like to see. Yes, front and back videos have different filenames so you can get to exactly what you want.4) Configurable for pretty much whatever you want related to video and audio. Some cons:1) The biggest one is the suction cup mount. About once a week you'll have to re-attach it otherwise it will end up falling off your windshield - normally at the most inconvenient time. I'd like to see a mount which allows you to use VHB tape without tearing up the mount. Yes, I tried VHB over the suction cup and it doesn't work. Lasted about 2 days and the unit still fell off the windshield. I could cut the suction cup out but don't want to destroy the unit.2) The display and buttons are too small for me to operate with the unit mounted in the vehicle. To configure I have to plug it into my PC and be at a desk holding the unit at the perfect reading distance. If your vision is good maybe this won't be a problem for you.My claim:I was in a parking lot waiting for another car to pull out when a person backed into the back passenger door of my vehicle. Put a nice dent in it and buckled the trim on the back door. Of course when I got out to look at the damage the first thing the other driver said was "I didn't hit you". What fun! My response "yes you did let me see your license and insurance". I offered to allow the other driver to pay outside of insurance which they were receptive to until they saw the estimates which ranged from $750-$850. Then I filed against their insurance.Wanting to see where this would go I filed a claim against the other person's insurance. Of course the other person lied when they made their statement which ended up causing their insurance company to deny my claim. So now I have the proof without a camera I would be up the creek. When my claim was denied I contacted the claims agent and said you know I think I have dashcam video proving your insured's vehicle hit me. Funny thing is the claims agent said it's not going to do any good because dashcams only record what's in front of the vehicle. To which I said not mine, I have video of both front and back. I'll search and send video if I have it. After searching for 10 minutes I found video which clearly showed the other vehicle hitting mine. You could clearly see the other vehicle through the side windows of my car. I then used Windows Movie Maker to snip out the section where I was hit and sent to the claims agent. Within 15 minutes my claim was now approved. Now my car is fixed and I'm happy I didn't have to pay for the damage. Vantrue has paid for itself within a year. Yay!

The only complaint that I have is the mount and suction cup swivel. No matter what I do to the swivel it gets so loose that the camera moves all over the place. So annoying...

Amazing camera!! Super clear and accurate GPS & Speed of the car. Would def get!

Love this product only dislike is the loop recording is not long

The Vanture N2 Pro Dash Cam looks really good and it has a modern design not to take up a lot of space in the windshield. This dash cam has high reviews and I am happy with the purchases. Note that the Samsung Memory card has to be purchased separately from retailers.

Recently got my N2 Pro set up and running, and it's been great! The entire camera is pretty user friendly. The night vision is decent and great quality for the cabin-facing camera. I don't transport people often so I normally utilize the road facing camera and increase the quality so I can be sure to capture accurate vehicle descriptions and tag numbers for LE if needed. I'm definitely planning on a second purchase for my wife's car so we can protect the whole family.
billybob
Not very clear picture quality on the front camera.. front camera has no type of night vision. The inside or second camera is good for day and nights. The does change the color of your seats when recording.

I have had a Vantrue X1 for about 3 years now. After having 2 accidents that the dashcam footage showed instantly that it was the other persons fault I decided to get another for my wifes car.I went with the N2 Pro Uber Dual Dash because I am thinking of getting into driving for Lyft/Uber and felt this was a good option. For now it will be in the front only 1440P mode. It gives me the widest highest quality footage.Per the recommendation in the description I went with the 128Gb Samsung Evo micro SD card and have had no issues formatting and then saving videos.Installation was easy, I am curious to see how the window mount does in the hot Tennessee summers. I have an issue with my X1 mount when it heats up. The air inside expands and then causes the mount to pop off, I have had no issues with this one yet. I will be buying the hardwire kit so I can connect the dashcam directly to my OBD port for constant power. This way the 24/7 parking surveillance will work too.As you can see in the pictures it does not take up much space and doesn’t block vision at all. Also from prior experience the Vantrue customer service is exceptional, quick to respond and very helpful. It was another selling point for me to pick this dash cam.I will update this review once I have the hardwire kit.

Good product, my only concern is the durability of the suction cup. It fell down once so far on a hot day afternoon - I guess it might fall again some later time. Just don’t want it to eventually become unusable because of this.

Really nice camera for Uber/Lyft driver, records front and back in two 1080p separate files

Great video and picture quality! So far, I am very impressed. I purchased this dash cam to give myself peace of mind while driving on the road.

Great video. Front and rear are great.

Has great quality but didn't even last 1 year. I bought it in November of 2018. Updated the firmware and formatted the SD card as instructed. It was working well up until a month ago. Now it constantly chimes and powers itself on and off. I contacted support and they are much of any support. I'm disappointed because I thought I finally found a quality dash cam but turns out they are like the others when it comes to longevity.
Revhead
Amazing quality, does what it's supposed to. Now I can feel that extra layer of security for my car where ever and whenever I go.

I really love the video quality of this dashcam. It's true you get what you pay for with this device. Handles the cold dark winters nicely even sub -30c. Previous camera would not turn on in the cold. The biggest thing is night vision quality. Only complaint I could see is having to set timelaspe everytime on power up.
Calvin L.
I'm only two weeks in with using the Vantrue N2 Pro, but so far it has not disappointed me. It has amazing video quality and the best part for me is how easy it is to use. Literally just plug it in to your car with a SD card, format the card, and you're good to go. The buttons can get a bit confusing at first, but you'll get used to it. The only concern I had was that the suction cup for the GPS Mount (which I bought separately) that kept falling off due to a weak suction cup, but Vantrue's Customer Service got back to me super fast and sent me a new one.

A very nice product, with a severe design flaw:What do you want to use this for? For most people, the value in this product is the ability to document an accident, to prove whether or not they were at fault. Well, this product will do that, as long as the built-in Lithium battery has a charge, and as long as the accident did not disconnect the DashCam from the car's battery. That is for a simple reason: This is a digital product, not analog. In an analog product, say, a VCR, the minute it loses power, it stops recording, but what has been recorded up to that point is preserved and reviewable. Not so with a digital system. The video/sound is recorded in FILES. You get to determine, on this product, how long you want the video to be, and it creates a file for each video. The DashCam is very good at stopping one recording and starting a new one, in a chain. This means that each file needs to be PROPERLY CLOSED when reaching the end of the time interval you've set. Without power, the file will be LOST AND INACCESSIBLE.So think about it: You are, Heaven forbid, in an accident, and the impact has interrupted the power to the DashCam, somewhere along the line. Maybe even disconnected one of the cables from your car's battery. That point of impact is THE MOST CRITICAL data you want. It could be anywhere between 1 and 5 minutes long (depending on how you set it up), but IT IS LOST, if the DashCam loses power. How can it lose power? It has a built-in lithium battery. Yes, it does, and about 2 years after you've installed it in your car, the battery will have swollen and lost all ability to recharge and store power. That is because, as anyone would expect, you've left it on your car's windshield, exposed to the sun and it heated up and damaged the battery. On top of that, they made the product black, which absorbs more heat than any other color, and have built no heat-shield into it. And the product itself generates a little heat of its own.But...But...But you didn't spend $200 just for the ability to document accidents. You also want all the other features the manufacturer advertizes as selling points -- record entire trips, record inside the car, record whoever shoved a supermarket cart at your car and dented it, and such. In my case, I installed the hardwire kit to provide power to the unit all the time, whenever it is triggered by any car passing by when the car is parked. So what do we have here? The manufacturer advertizes that you can, with the hardwire kit, record any kid who wants to key your car, any car that dents it when you're not there -- all of which depends on the unit's battery providing some power in order to gracefully close files -- because without that small amount of power, the last files open will be lost -- and then the manufacturer tells you, in the manual, don't leave it exposed to the sun? Kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?So that was my experience with the first N2Pro I bought. This is my second one. I do not intend to buy a new one every couple of years, because the manufacturer couldn't see the obvious and plan accordingly. I've already found the replacement battery (it really doesn't require much, about 250Mah), and when necessary, solder the bad battery out, solder a new one in. And tape some kind of heat-shielding material around the Dashcam, with white tape. It's such a silly thing. Plus the world-wide craze to slap lithium batteries in everything from electric cars to hearing aids, when a regular, replaceable battery would do -- in this case a pair of AAA with voltage-adjusting circuitry would have done it, and avoided the problem altogether. You may never have this problem, just be aware of it before you buy.

After 4 weeks of using this product, I feel like I have enough time with this product to give it an accurate review.I have had a Vantrue device in my car for almost 3 years ‘til I upgraded to this item. My original device was “Vantrue X2 Dash Cam -2.5K Super HD 1440P Dash Cam 2.7" LCD 170° Wide Angle Car Camera Video Recorder with G-Sensor”I have had zero issues and the device has always recorded automatically as planned. I have never had to mess with the camera. It has always worked. I upgraded to this camera for the extra features and rear cam (I drive minors often for my work).PROS:Easily upgraded from my last Vantrue cam (same adapter/MiniUSB).Great clarity of video day and night. The light processing is better than most.Mount works much better than the original. Seems much more robust and stable (my old one I had to tighten and reposition about once a year).Much easier access to the MicroSD card slot (can remove it without removing the camera no problem).Super clear LCD screen.Robust casing.Able to take the heat of Northern California summers.Has G-sensor and manual “lock” button to lock a video down so it cant be recorded over in the case of an “incident.”Comes with a suction cup base that easily detaches from the power source (makes it very easy to take on and off if you’d like to without unravelling your whole power cord setup).CONS:Attractive (to thieves) more-so than older-looking versions. Personally, I’d rather have a junky-looking camera because having an expensive camera on my window puts me less at ease. (but… I do cover it up with my sun shade very easily.Wider than cameras without a rear camera.1440P works only during single front camera mode. But 2x1080P is enough for me.Other notes:I have attached my videos of the camera. I am going to have to clean my window and upload a new one, but for how incredibly dirty my window is, the video comes out great.I have attached pictures of my setup. I am using a class 4 Kingston card which is recommended against, but I have had zero issues with the speed and stability of the card.5 minutes of 1080P video comes out to 420MB per video (so multiply that x2 if you are running the inner cam). 5 minutes of 1440P video is about double this amount.Cord is plenty long enough to wrap all the way around the passenger trim, behind the glove box, and into either the cigarette lighter or the fuse box (if that’s how you’d rather wire it).In my setup (shown), the driver does not see the camera (intentionally hidden by rear view mirror) and the only cord you can see is from the head liner to the device itself.

I have problem with G sensor Its very sensitive as result lock too many files which is not correct almost every shake lock file, during short time my sd card is full , I have format or cleanup every day . I am tired of that

I can not stress enough on how important it is to have a dashcam in your car. Having a front facing camera and rear makes this dashcam worth the price.
John Perez
Battery started failing before one year and the camera got completely unusable in about one and a half years. Stopped recording continuously, stopped recording the sound, it won't properly shut down, LCD screen would flicker, in other words, unusable. How convenient that their warranty only covers 18 months... Not worth the price.

UPDATE: For the mean time I'm updating my review from a 1-star to a 4-star review. VanTrue has surprisingly good customer service, who agreed to replace both my camera, and the mount for the issues cited below. Both the new camera and mount are updated versions, so I'm optimistic that the the issues below will be resolved. It's obvious that the redesign on the mount is much more robust, and I don't expect to have any issues with it holding the camera steady like the older version. I still recommend checking the date/time readout periodically on the bottom of your camera's LCD to make sure it didn't reset on you! The system time reset is a symptom of a dying battery in the camera. Mine has always been wired into the switched 12v on my truck, but somehow the first camera's battery failed inside of 6 months. Without the battery it couldn't hold time when the truck was off, causing the time to reset to an earlier date, which in turn stopped it from overwriting older files that it thought were newer. I will say when it works, the video quality is superb.I’m so frustrated with this camera. The system date randomly resets to Jan 2017. When it does that it won’t overwrite the older files that it “thinks” are newer. The end result is the memory card fills up and it overwrites over the same 5-min long file over and over again and you lose your footage. It has now cost me an accident where someone hit me at a gas station, and a questionable speeding ticket. The GPS mount is also failing. After 6 months it’s so loose that the camera wobbles around and doesn’t stay in position. The camera's battery quickly wears out as well. I bought this thing in Mar 2018. The battery instantly dies now when vehicle power is removed.

I am a Uber driver.. I love this camera. I also love that it saves video in 15 min increments with the time and date on each file.. makes it easy to find a specific video from a spcific time

Using and setup is OK but Recording isn't clear blurry for me not worth it

Great camera for recording while driving at night. I'm a rideshare driver and it's helped tremendously when recording riders who have had too much to drink.

I am having a hard time to stick it on my windshield .

I wanted a dashcam that had both front and rear cameras, this one had both and both cameras in the main unit without having to run a wire to the back of the car. This model is clearly meant for uber and cab drivers for security to keep an eye on their passenger. It seems to me the rear facing camera has better night vision than the front, where in the front I could really only see where my headlights are shining. Maybe this is just how cameras work, but regardless it's not terrible. Bought the hardwire kit and will be putting that in as well.

Bought this with hard wire kit, picture button, as well as gps mount. Not sure why everyone's videos look like garbage but that was a main concern buying this product. Other features I wanted in a dashcam were wifi and / or cloud. But my vehicle already has a lo-jack type system would just prefer things get auto-magically uploaded to a cloud in case something did happen. I am not paying 4-800 for a blackvue or something else for that cost.Quality is excellent. Inside and outside facing. For inside however on sunny days, if you have some window tint it is beautiful. With my windows halfway down, inside is fine, but the view outside where the tint is, you can see everything, no tint - bright light. Just food for thought for those thinking of buying. As far as driving, quality was crystal clear but it isn't reading plate numbers 100 feet away. Just be aware of that so if you do get in an accident, say out the plate numbers of the offender so you have it recorded. Audio recording is great. Was blasting music and it still picked me up singing or talking.2 notes of interest:Format the card using the device, not a computer. Pretty sure the device format adds proper files etc so it is recognized as it needs to be.Goto Vantrue's website to make sure you have the latest firmware for the device. At this time it is V30. You can see your version by going through the menu and it is labeled "system info"

Outstanding camera, crisp and clear, best investment I ever had.

I gave it a 5 because for the cost and investment. It's a great dashcam. The night vision works best in lighted areas. Of course in dark areas you just get the distance of your headlights. Overall. It has kept me from being vandalized and safe from unwanted behaviors. Road ragers, people parking next to you, accidents, etc. Great investment. It does get some getting used to it. If you have big fingers. Might be a little hard to use the buttons. I have small fingers. Easy to setup. Quality construction. Best to buy the other mount with GPS. Holds dashcam better. Buy extra so cards, too.For the cost and mid level. Great first starter.

My previous dash cam was $49.99 On Vantrue and lasted less that a year (Pruveeo). This was one was $199.99. The quality is night and day. Good build quality and Hi Def video. See my video.

The camara is great but the rubber that holds the memory card does not work when warm. Maybe sendingvit back.

I highly recommend adding the adhesive GPS mount and hard wire kit to your purchase. The GPS data allows you to review where you were and how fast you were going when your video was taken. The adhesive mount will work better than the suction cup. The hard wiring kit (super-easy to install!) will save you the hassle and potential failure point of using the cigarette lighter for power, and allows you to use the parking monitor feature. The camera takes crisp, clear photos, both inside and out. The IR camera for the cabin will flare out if there’s a surface (like the back of your rear view mirror) near the lens, so mind where you mount your camera (use the suction cup until you’re satisfied with the location) and review the footage! It’s super easy to use. You just remove it from the mount (which provides the power), throw the camera in your pocket, and hook it up to your computer with a mini (not micro!)-USB cable, and it just mounts as an external drive. Copy the files over, and then review your footage! The files are named by the camera to match front-facing footage with the cabin footage. A dashcam camera program will match the two so you can export picture-in-picture footage. What else... I can’t think of anything now, but let me know if you have any questions!

The camera is great but the battery will not take a charge

Products are top notch. Just installed N2 Pro. No complaints. License plates are readable and nightime in-cabin pictures are very clear.

I bought this several months ago and it has performed like a champ. As an Uber/Lyft driver, it is important to be able to record my passengers. This one does well even at night. It will light up people all the way to the back seat of my minivan. It isn't bright back there, but I can see the people in the video. I highly recommend it for any rideshare drivers. They also have excellent customer service. Approximately nine months after I started using it, the battery that keeps the settings when it is unplugged started to fail. After they gave me somethings to do to test the battery, the problem continued. They replaced the camera at that point. Again, I highly recommend this camera.

I don’t really like it .

The N2pro is compact, excellent picture quality, 256 card holds a lot of videos, good for my wifes uber and lyft job.. needs a better suction cup..

Works great the camera quality is really good the only thing is it doesn't pick up things in very good clarity if they're standing still in your driving past. It's kind of just a blur but which is understandable it's just a camera.

The night vision would be improved
