After using several cheap dash cam, I want to try something new and totally different, has really clear cam, with more cameras, and it can take pictures even in dark night, this one is totally fit all my expectations! Three cameras can snapshot all the things happening around my car, and each video is clear.

This is an awesome camera. It is expensive but I think it was money well spent. I got a 256GB memory card from Vantrue also. The installation was easy with the right tools. I was able to hide all of the cables and it looks like a professional install. The PC program to view the recording later took a few minutes to get used to, but works great. I’m really happy with this purchase and plan to use this camera in my daughters first car (16 yr old). Highly recommended.

The N4 is not only my first Vantrue dash camera, it is my first dash cam ever. I got it setup in only a few minutes. Way easy to do. Just read the Quick Start Guide, and you'll be set in no time.I was most impressed with image quality, easily explained by the Sony STARVIS image sensor it packs in. I've been a faithful Sony customer for a very long time and the image sensor was a determining factor in picking the N4. Some acquaintances of mine, big fans of the Blackvue brand, have admitted being positively impressed with the N4. The N4 is also flexible enough with various camera resolution and channel configuration options. When all three cameras are used (front, cabin, rear), the maximum video recording setting is 1440P + 1080P + 1080P at 30fps. The on-screen menu will allow you to change that configuration, so it is possible to select a lower resolution if you have a low capacity memory card. The N4 simultaneously records front, cabin, and rear shots with or without sound, and you can see all three on the 2.45 inch IPS LCD giving you a good overview all around you. It's too early for me to say how this camera will turn out to be in the field. Having said that, initially at least, Vantrue delivers a tempting feature set with the N4.It's not only the high quality image sensor, or the use of a large capacitor instead of batteries (a great idea in high temperature places, i.e., Florida), or the easy setup, optional parking mode, or the wide angle lenses packed into a small form factor, or the night vision, it is also, the simplicity of a very complex device, and the overall feature set. All those characteristics put together made the N4 a must have.As it always happens with electronics, and as I already said above, time will tell. I will try and make the effort to update this review in a year's time or so, with observations and details which can only come about after having 'kicked the tires' so to speak, for some time.Best of luck and as someone I admire used to say: Live long and Prosper!

Love the ease of use! And great quality! Worth the money!

They don’t show how to charge battery and keep it how long and no SIM card that is too much money too

I bough this to have a second dash cam. It has now become my main and replaced my LifeChaser 4K dual cam.-The 2K front video image quality is better than my 4K LifeChaser cam.-The 1080 cabin video quality is excellent.-I have not tested the back camera image quality since I have a convertible.-The sound recording quality is excellent; it is much crispier than my 4K LifeChaserLicense plates - I went over the footage, paused, and zoomed in to license plates and I could see them clearly, as long as the cars were reasonably close to my vehicle. I will submit some screenshots.-Set up was easy; the controls are easy-The screen is big and looks great-The camera comes with a USB cable to attach to a computer and you can view all saved videos and export them-I am using this cam with the recommended Vantrue 256GB microSD-If you upload your vids to YouTube, the image quality is 1080p; however, Vimeo accepts 2K and 4K w/ a fee. Conclusion: love the camera. It has excellent video, picture, and sound quality.

Wasn't able to try product because the suction cup mount will not stay on the windshield. It doesn't matter how many times I clean the windshield or suction cup mount with either rubbing alcohol or water. I am able to make it stick for 3 seconds and that's about it. I'm sure the camera works and the quality is probably top notch. Shame I wont be able to find out myself.

I'm a little confused about the product. For some reason I spent a long time trying to turn it off and the button reactions got sluggish. I had to hold down the arrow buttons or press them twice long just to react. Until I pressed the reset button it had that problem. I also couldn't power the camera down during that time for some reason...I'm also not entirely sure how Parking Mode works. I have hard wired it into an always-on fuse (because I learned that turning it off collision mode didn't seem to work) and I guess I need to always turn it off with the button? Or does it automatically go into parking mode by itself while always on and work like that? There are a lot of questions I have that I can't really seem to find answers for online.I have not driven with it yet, so I'll edit this later. Right off the bat it has been a little confusing and frustrating. It is rated well, so I suppose it will do well.

Wow! Let me start with talking about the price because to be honest that's what stopped me from getting this dash cam sooner but i'm so happy i did! With a few simple words, Its worth it! For me personally I wasn't looking to spend much money on a dash cam but i decided to get this one because i couldn't find anything else like it on the market. For something that shoots 3 ways of video and has this quality and night vision inside the cabin i am super impressed! The dash cam is very light and was super easy to setup. Price of what you can afford goes by each person and how much you're willing to spend but i would definitely recommend saving a little extra to get this dash cam over the others. This will save you so much more money for any accidents/hit and runs and with 3 cameras you wont have to worry about if your camera caught anything. With the wide angle lenses inside the camera it captures everything i need. I seriously would recommend this to anyone looking to get a dash cam and with the features of this one its worth every penny!

I’ve had my camera for about a few days now, coming from a dashcam of a different brand. I’ve been impressed by the picture quality of each of the cams (front, rear and interior). Installation was pretty simple, I forgot to order the hardwire kit for the park mode function but ordered and received it a couple days ago. Everything is working like a charm, I tested out the park mode, and by the time I walk up to the car, open the door and get in the camera shows it’s been recording about 15 seconds so it’s working as soon as it detects me walking up to the car. Great camera overall!

I was very surprised N4 Dual Dash Cam was so small, but do not let the size fool you, it is packed with features. The great thing about the size is, it does not interfere with my vision while looking out of the windshield. It is great that is can record three cameras at the same time in very high resolution. I have a very long vehicle but the cord for the rear cameral still had a few feet of extra length. I would recommend this dash cam to everyone that is shopping for a great dash cam.

So far working good. Thank you.

First of all you get 3 cameras, all with fantastic video. I have hardwired mine using the hardwire kit from Vantrue and also the GPS mount. I was having trouble with Parking mode at first but I think I did not understand how it worked but now that I have paid more attention I went out and checked all the files and found out that Parking mode is working perfectly. It then switches to normal recording once I enter the car and turn it on. Installation was breeze, taking less than 3 hours and that included the search for a constant power connection. I have tried other dash cams but this one is the most fantastic one I have ever seen and with all the features, auto night view, auto turn off of LCD screen, Parking mode that works no matter which camera detects the motion, Collision Detection, etc., I cannot think of a better deal. I thought I was going to have to find a mobile power bank to get Parking mode to work, but after I studied how it works, I realized that I do not need it and that my camera is working fine right out of the box. The manufacturer is very good at responding to a question or complaint within 24 hours as advertised and they also take your phone number so I assume if there is a need, they are willing to call you to straighten out a problem that cannot be fixed through email. I give this product 5 stars for all these reasons.***Edit***I wanted to add to this review, mention of the Vantrue Video Player. Not as impressed. First, let me say this. It works. But when you have video set to maximum on the front camera, the video is very jerky. I have a new computer with 32GBs of RAM and over 3TBs available space with an Intel i9 CPU Yada yada. It isn't my computer. Now at 1080 resolution and 30fps it is smooth. But just so you know, I have seen some people say that you have to use their dedicated player to get the GPS and speed stamp to show on he video. NOT TRUE! I replayed several videos in Windows Media Player and the stamp showed. The only thing you miss out on is the video information stamp, such as resolution, fps, etc. I like using WMP because if there is anything you need a good look at you can edit the video and create a slow motion snippet of an important part. Now, here is another part that is really aggravating. In the manual they do not explain this but kudos for the support staff getting back within 24 hours to explain. I tried to follow the manual and I added the power through the GPS unit when connecting to the computer. You cannot do this. You have to plug the cable from the computer into the rear camera slot to get it to play directly from the camera to the computer or to copy files over. Remember that, it is not in the manual. Next, I found that if you do not want to remove your camera from the car, just remove the card from the camera and insert it into a full size SD adapter, set the adapter to write-protect and insert into computer. Now you can access all your files on the card and copy them over or just play them. When done, you just reverse everything to put card back into camera. I recommend that you format the card if you copied the files over and do not need an extra copy on the camera anymore.Another advantage to using WMP over the Vantrue Player is that WMP plays the videos a lot more clearer and the audio is much better. Now the worst of the worst (but still not horrible). When you go into the settings for Vantrue and reset KM/H to MPH and the default folder for the files to be found in, every time you close the program and restart it, you (or at least I did) have to go back in and change the settings again. Worst of all is that once you reset the default folder, when you click on the folder symbol to open one, it does not go to the folder you set. It goes to the installation folder where the program is installed. Why? I need to open videos, not see where the program is installed.I cannot think of one way that the Vantrue Player exceeds WMP. WMP is smoother and allows editing and creating slow motion videos, etc. It also saves all settings when it is closed. Plus, the absence of important details in the manual as to how to power up the camera by using the rear camera slot is not there is a big points off. As is the absence of information as to how you can write-protect the card and just insert it directly without having to remove the camera from your car.So, my recommendation to Vantrue is to update the manual, and make the player save settings and improve the algorithm for playing videos so that it can be at least competition for WMP. Until they do that, the product still gets a 5 star review, but the Player only gets a 3.5 stars rating.I hope this helps. Do not allow the Player's problems stop you from buying this camera. They are a very dedicated group and I am sure they will get the player fixed. In the meantime, the 3-camera setup is the most beautiful dashcam setup I have ever owned or even seen.UPDATE: I have figured out how to use the Player. As I told you above, they are a dedicated group, and they have updated the Player since I purchased my N4. I am able to save my settings now and I do not know if they updated the algorithm for playing videos, but now the jerkiness that I reported above is much better and rivals WMP. So now the recommendation I make is to use the Vantrue Player as it adds the abilite to track the speed and GPS with a map. Now, the map may lag behind where you your location is actually at that moment in time, but at least it has that ability where WMP does not. So again, my new recommendation would be to use the Vantrue Player. If you need any advice on how to use it, I have gone through all the headaches with figuring out everything and will be glad to offer help to anyone who posts a question. Oh, my new rating for the Vantrue Player is 4.5 stars. The half star missing is due to the lagging in the map. My computer is extremely powerful and so I know it isn't that. If they can fix that last issue, I will give the player 5 stars like I do the dashcam which I still recommend as the best choice on the market.

Edit: My original review was a one star because I received a defective camera. The cabin and rear cameras would not record. I returned it. Shortly after, Sandy from Vantrue reached out and offered to send me a replacement. This camera is great! I love how easy it installed and it works without any trouble. I forget it is there. I drive a 2010 Mazda 3 and my front windshield is slightly more slanted than a typical car. Unfortunately, this causes a glare in the cabin camera. The night mode for the cabin camera is amazing. It looks professional in my opinion. I have not gone back to review footage, but I am confident that its there. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants to cover all the angles of their car!

This is all in one solution. 3-in-1 dash cam, front, rear, inside. Amazing, I am very happy. Wire length is appropriate, for any car it would not be less for sure. Video quality and pixels...amazing. very satisfied. No issues whatsoever

It took me a few tries before I finally decided to spend the money on a camera like this one. Many products out there with empty promises or exaggerated details. Vantrue is the first to really shine on their promises. Great camera glad I spent the money on this!! And probably will if another model is released (hopefully with WiFi and an app, as well as IR for all three cameras , that would make this camera perfect) but this is damn near close to perfect in my eyes. Great picture, on all 3 cams. Small and the design looks amazing!!! Can not go wrong

I am upgrading from Ventrue N2 Pro dash cam to the new N4 Dash cam.The reason for upgrade is because I was in a 3 car accident, someone rear-ended me, and push my car bump into the car in front of me. When there is no clear evidence to show who caused the accident, 3 car accident can be a messy lawsuit. With camera footage on hand, it is so easy to determined who is at fault and don't have to worry about lawsuit.Because N2 Pro do not have rear camera, I decided to get an upgrade and try the Vantrue N4 Dashcam. I am very impressed with the N4 on the price and video quality. The video quality is wonderful no matter day or night you get the best video compare to other dash cameras. Front Camera is at 2K or 1440P resolution, cabinet and rear cameras are at FHD or 1080P, all at 30 frames per second. and you can purchase the hardwire kit to have it monitor your car 24/7, which is what I did.One can find all the dash camera specs on Vantrue page, so here is what I think the pro and con to this dash cameraPRO1. The video quality is impressively good, I am able to get good video from all 3 camera lens in day or night. A clean windshield and rear window also make huge difference. Night vision is so clear both inside and outside of the car. With new CMOS sensor and F1.4 aprture in the front, night time video is super clean. and 4 IR LED lights for interior camera help to see everything inside the car in night time as well.2. The Dash cam take up to 256GB of Micro SD card, since you have 3 lens all working at same time and at full resolution a 3 minutes clips from all 3 cameras will be about 700MB in size, you will need large SD memory card to hold all the video footage.3. Super capacitor instead of tiny battery is a must for hot or cold weather. I had many other dashcams that come with tiny battery pack, none of those dashcam will last long in extreme hot weather. In summer the temperature inside a car can go all the way to 150-160F, those tiny battery pack won't last a summer. Capacitor are weather resistant and I don't have to worry about dead dash cam when I need it.4. Larger LED screen is a godsend, because you have 3 camera view now, the larger LED make it much easier to read. and you can switch between different 3 cameras to the main screen to monitor. It is easy to operate and review the clip.5. Wiring the rear camera is surprisingly easy. I was worry about wiring the rear dash cam to my car, but after watch some Youtube video and read other feedback, I was able to do it in 15 minutes. Maybe my Camry is just easy to do it, I didn't have problem to hide all the wire and make it look good.CON1. No Wifi or App support. I think with today's digital age and smart phone, the dash should come with a quick way to access video footage wirelessly to download and share.2. No internal GPS support. a builtin GPS will be a nice feature, you will have to buy GPS mount if you want to get GPS data on the dash cam.3. No Y cable to power and connect to rear dash cam. you will need to run two cables to the main dash cam, one for the rear camera to the side of the main unit, and another cable to provide power on the mounting unit of the main camera. Wish there is a Y cable I can connect both USB C connector to have just one single cable to run to the main unit.4. Video is on codec h.265 format, if you have older computer, it might not support h.265 format. I understand why they need to use h.265 codec because all 3 cameras at 2K or FHD do increase the video size, and h.265 has better efficiency compare to the h.264. So don't be surprise when you try to watch the 2K video on your 8 years old laptop, the video is not able to play, you can still hook up the dash cam directly to your 60+ inch TV with Micro HDMI cable. Another way you can do is upload it to Youtube and it will encode again but you will lost quality on the video.Overall: The Vantrue N4 is a very good upgrade from N2 Pro, and one of the best 3 channel dash camera you can buy in the market. If you need to get a dash camera for you car, don't settle on the budget camera that will go bad in a year, get the N4 and have peace of mind to know it will work every time you start the engine with clear video when you need it.

Item is extremely small, and while the packaging sort of feels like a premium product, it isn't until you pull it out of the box and actually turn it on and hook it up to the computer to see how it feels and operates. It's cheap, and clunky. Can't believe this has such high reviews. A knock off Go Pro would be a better suited than this. There are a lot better dash cams for half this price.Pros: Packaging was nice and felt premiumCons: Clunky software Cheap plastic Expensive price Hardware kit is separate SD card is separate No mobile app

Just got my Vantrue N4 3 channel. Spent about an hour before bed yesterday messing with the settings and installing a firmware update. After work today I went out to install it in my car. It was relatively easy. I spent about an hour fidgeting with it. Realized that "park mode" doesnt work unless you have a constant power supply. You can go without it if your only interested in capturing footage while the vehicle is running. Otherwise youll need to order an OBD Hardwire Kit for about $19 or the regular Hardwire Kit for about $16 if you want to record video while away from the vehicle. The device functions are easy to get use to once you read the manual and mess with it a bit. Speaking of the manual it was very thorough and had detailed pictures too. The video quality actually looks really good and the sound is decent to. I had fun watching the video footage of me installing it and hearing myself during playback was a hoot. Didnt have any issues with missing parts/pieces. The only constructive advice I have is to get one of the hardwire kits I mentioned so you can take advantage of recording while away from your vehicle in "park mode". I also really wish it had Wi-Fi to stream to an app or something in case the device itself gets stolen or something. Lastly, it could have also included an option to get the hardwire kit instead of the car charger. Otherwise its still very new to me. Ive seen some reviews where they pop back in after so long and update the review. If I can figure out how to do this I will try to update this review maybe every 3-6 months if needed.Update 5/20The camera is now hardwired into my vehicle and Records in park mode. I also have it set to Collision / motion detection so it only records during those times. I decided to test the camera and see what it deems an event. I went around my entire vehicle trying to open up all my doors, I hip checked the vehicle multiple times moving it enough to get the car to sway, and I went around knocking on the doors in an attempt to mimic a minor collision. For each one of these instances the camera did record each time but it only stored it under "all" or "normal" files not "event" files. This is a problem for me because if the camera isn't able to determine what an event is how can I be confident that when an actual event occurs that it will store it properly. If it doesn't store it under event files it automatically overwrites them when The SD card is full. The only way I'll know as of right now if an event has occurred is if I go through all the files and watch each one individually everyday which takes a couple hours depending on how many files you accumulated since the last time you checked it. I'm also pretty disappointed that the camera doesn't come with a WiFi/Bluetooth feature allowing you to connect to the camera wirelessly to view footage or to even track its location in the event the camera itself is stolen. The video footage is rather clear with the exception that you cannot read license plates unless you and the other vehicle are parked. I don't know if turning the footage over to the police would help maybe they can clean up the footage if not I guess I'll have to somehow obtain a software that does this which I'm sure costs a pretty penny. Night vision is great on the inside cab but the front and the rear do not come equipped with night-vision and are essentially useless if not in a well-lit area. The booklet it comes with suggests that you should not store it in direct sunlight. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to avoid this as they have to be attached to the windshield in the front and rear. If I cover the windshield then what's the point. When I go to check it after getting in the car I do notice it is concerningly warm. It says it's supposed to be good up to I don't know over a hundred sixty degrees or something so hopefully it holds up. I'm kind of paranoid that it may fall off the windshield being that it has to have the suction cup mount. Anything that I've had that requires a suction cup mount has always popped off and slid across the dash. This has yet to happen but it's likely it will. I started looking at adhesive strips for suction cup mounts so if it does start to happen I'll have a solution there. Gonna contact customer support to see about events not storing properly. Hopefully they can help me because I'm going to change my rating down to 2 stars and hopefully be able to return it.

Amazing camera set up.Night vision is perfect has already saved me thousands of dollars
